As you said in 4:21, that you need to put your own intuition and logic that's what Islam *Quran* repeatedly commands humans to do. To seek Islam using intellect and with conviction. Islam is not what people were doing around you stopping you to question. Have you once tried to seek the answers to your questions with sincere and open heart from the God himself ? I'm sure He wouldn't leave you unanswered.. lastly, the thing you said about Islam being rigid , it's not rigidity it's sticking to your values. If you're not standing by your values, then you'll stand and stick by something else which is man made hence flawed.

Did you ever sit and just in your heart ask God to guide you to whatever the truth is ?

Every person will inevitably reach a point in their life where they have questions and gaps in understanding. All they need to do is search, and they will find answers. Be certain that any doubt or gap you have has a logical and realistic answer. In my opinion, anyone who leaves Islam does so because of ignorance about a certain matter and their failure to search sincerely for the truth. Instead, they simply decided to walk away. From personal experience, I had many questions, and I told myself, "I will search, and this time I will embrace Islam with conviction, through knowledge and reason." And that’s exactly what Islam calls for. I searched, and I found convincing and logical answers to my questions. I realized that my doubts stemmed from ignorance. I also came across responses from atheists and followers of other religions, but they weren’t logical to me. I continued searching for evidence proving the truth of Islam and found plenty. The most significant proof was the scientific miracles in the Quran-things we have only recently discovered through modern science. Every time I looked deeper into arguments opposing Islam and persistently sought answers, I found convincing responses. That’s why I say: there’s no harm in having questions or doubts. You just need to search for the answers, and you will come out with even stronger faith. Ignoring your questions, however, is simply ignorance.
