I really respect you, Fish. Your stories are great! You did time pretty much how I did. I was locked up for a total of about 4 years in my life. I was in some pretty rough joints. Everything you say, I totally agree with.

This was a very insightful interview and breakdown from your point of view. Thank you for going so in depth. There are things i have learned just from watching this video. I really think you should get a hold of Ian Bick. He has a podcast where he interviews formally incarcerated men that talk about their experiences being in prison on youtube. He's legit. Please keep pushing more content out. I really have been enjoying your page and learning a lot. You got a lot of gems and game you are giving out..💪🏽

Glad you came across the channel and appreciate your comment. You mentioned you went to a scared straight program in Attica in 2000, that's about when I got there, maybe 2001. Scared straight programs don't work much anyway because when you scare someone all they want to do is fight or take flight, they last thing they do is listen to the message. I hope you're doing well out there.

In 2000 had to go to a scared strait program to Attica Prison. Unfortunately I was very hardheaded and knew I was going home and knew they couldn't touch me. At one point one of the inmates ( a black guy that walked like he just killed 10 people and searching for his 11th victim) to this day I've never seen anybody have the body language that guy had. It did works for a few weeks after awards but 3 months later I turned 16 and was sentenced to 1 to 3yrs. I did my time in Greene an adolescent facility where they played razor tag daily. Everyday somebody was getting slashed in there. I came home and turned my life around. I'm 38 yrs old and to this day the images I seen in attica r still burned I to my mind. From the suffering I seen of men behind them bars, to the men walking around with the guards with boob's.
@22CONSERVATIVEFELON2 сағат бұрын
I just replied to your other message. Yes, Attica was serious! I was there for many years. The bottom line is living right is much more peaceful, much more correct. Who the hell wants to worry about getting caught and going to prison for doing something wrong, living in hell, with animals. Do the right thing, enjoy life, love family, walk on the beach, what's better then that!

Me,,, fuck that, I was respectfully in the middle of everything but I always did it with dignity. But as you know shit happens and you do what you gotta do and do it good so everyone sees or hears.. I'm from Canada and I got alot of good stories from I think at least 8 shit holes. I like your channel bro because I can tell that you're not full of shit. GOOD WORK. and keep on writing... Peace!!!!!!

What's doing James, thanks for checking out the channel, and appreciate your words. The reality is these computers aren't even my thing and I don't know much about them. I have no idea how to edit a video, have no idea how to add things when I want to show people like a picture or something; what I know is how to talk into the camera and post the video. None of this shit existed when I went away so I have come home to a new world. There was no GPS, no laptop computers, no smart phones, no app's LOL I'm a guy that grew up on the street, committed 1000 crimes, abused hard drugs, and because of it went through so much pain, I lost so much, I hurt so many, destroyed so much; I make these videos to hope I can persuade others, to explain everything to others. I don't claim to speak perfectly, I don't claim to know it all, and I don't possess the most extensive vocabulary. I just want to leave a positive message to people. Of course there are some war stories here and there, #1 Because they are a part of the reality, and #2 Because many people enjoy them, but the overall message is, EVERYBODY TRY AND LIVE RIGHT! Thanks for watching brother!

@22CONSERVATIVEFELON Ya man.. For sure,, it's guys like us that have been around that some of these kids might listen to because of respect and reputation... Man,, I'm no tough guy, not anymore..I'm 58 bro but for some reason, people are still scared around me. I ask them why,, you never even seen me in a scrap. They say they heard the stories,, others say I have an orange.. That's not me anymore!!!!! About this tech shit.. I've never made a video and I don't have a cell phone. I been using tablets for about 5 years. Tablets are just giant cellphones. I never take it out of the house.. I have no SIM card but I can make a phone call on a free wifi network I stumbled upon.. I get a kick out of almost everyone out there,,it's like a cellphone zombie apocalypse especially on the bus, Its not for me,, I'm not that important that I need to carry a phone on me and I really don't like the fact that cellphones are tracking you. Maybe listening or using the cameras. Why so many cameras on these fucking phones.. Anyway,, I'm old fashioned I guess..Fuck all this shit especially AI..AI is the most dangerous thing that has ever been invented. In five years there will be no jobs and therefore no need for the common man worker bees that built this planet.. There's a bunch of way to rich oligarch billionaires out there that are wondering what the hell they are going to do with 99 percent of the population.. One of these assholesvsaid feed them pharmaceuticals and let them play video games till they die off.. They forget about on thing.... GOD!!!!!!!

I wonder if you knew my ole pal Bill Phillips upstate? He was an ex- NYPD cop that did 33 years, never in PC. He did legal work while in. Lots to tell. I used to live in your hometown. When Bill got out at the age of 78 he came down to the beach and caught a Striped Bass - something he dreamt about doing for a long time. I salute you for having your head on straight and turning your life around! Why are you called Fish?
@22CONSERVATIVEFELON7 күн бұрын
I don't recall a man named Bill Philips, but remember, NY itself has about 50 prisons. I'm called Fish from my family before I was even born; there was a four year old girl that lived across the street from my mother, and she would point at my mothers pregnant belly and ask her is there was a boy or a girl inside. When my mother told her it was a boy and she was going to name me Joseph, the little girl ran around the neighborhood for months telling everyone "JoeFish is coming! JoeFish is coming!" So, my family has never called me anything except Fish or JoeFish.

Interesting discussion. What year did you get out ? I know every state has some different ways. Florida has such staff shortages, DeSantis has offered bonus pay for employees. Also, I heard many do 12 hour shifts, and some look like kids right out of high school. Right now my son has a very nice classification officer, it makes such a difference. General population has always been a nightmare. It super stresses some people, and they can't cope. Some people are wired with nervous networking and feel threatened, my son prefers to be isolated, to avoid drama. But drama can find you anyway.
@22CONSERVATIVEFELON9 күн бұрын
I was released in 2013. Sorry to hear about your son. I know the Florida system is serious as well. Tell him to remember that the circumstances that surround him are not important, but how he responds to the circumstances is important. His response will determine failure or success. So he needs to hold his head, breath, realize that everyday he a day closer to getting out. I don't know if drugs plays a role in his incarceration, usually it does, and if it does, he has to beat that!
@donnapittman61359 күн бұрын
@22CONSERVATIVEFELON I will share your words with him, and thank you for taking the time out to respond. He's doing life without parole, but he was on death row.

QUESTION: What does it mean when you say "you have to know HOW to do time?"
@22CONSERVATIVEFELON8 күн бұрын
I do believe I elaborated on this in the video extensively. Knowing 'how' to do time just means following old time prison rules; minding your own business, not allowing anybody to take advantage of you, not being a rat, being smart as you move around, stand up for yourself when necessary.

So interesting. Where is your shed? In someone’s backyard? How long have you lived in this type of situation? Can you work a real job as a felon? You have a great personality. You’re a natural on KZbin!
@22CONSERVATIVEFELON8 күн бұрын
Why thank you ever so much. To answer your questions, my shed is on my backyard, it's a mancave, my escape. I have heat, AC, 75 inch flat screen, the walls decorated with family and friends, my computer, and its a place for my 6 little dogs to chill. As far as working a real job as a felon, yes, felons can become employed. Naturally there are jobs that won't hire a felon, and for me its a bit harder because I have a violent felony that was well known; but I built a business and it does well. Thank you for your compliments, I appreciate it. Also thank you for watching.

"For the love of money is the root of all evil..." (1 TIM. 6:10) This is a very true word, and of course everyone can use some dough, but it's not my main focus. I hope you are studying the KJV because other bibles change that verse, just because of their love of money. As an example, I believe its in the NKJV where 1 TIM. 6:10 says, "For the love of money is the root of 'all kinds' of evil..." You see that difference? Did God say "all evil" or "all kinds of evil?" Looks like someone changed that verse because they may love money a bit! Many other bibles change it even deeper. Think of this. Out of all the knowledge, out of all the direction, out of all the words in the entire Bible, the very last thing He found important to tell everyone is; 'AND IF ANY MAN SHALL TAKE AWAY FROM THE WORDS OF THE BOOK OF THIS PROPHECY, GOD SHALL TAKE AWAY HIS PART OUT OF THE BOOK OF LIFE..." (REV. 22:18-19) This means NODODY is to change a single word. If there are over 200 'new' Bibles out there, the FACT is they cannot all be the word of God. That's not my opinion, that is a fact. God either said something or He didn't say something. The Bible is either Gods word or it is not Gods word. Stick with the KJV!
