Ref the woman whose mother is an addict: I went through that exact situation. I couldn’t handle the toxicity of my mom anymore even though I loved her, I didn’t have much of a bond with her anymore. I found spirituality after she died from an overdose. I think the best thing I did was distance myself for my own mental health and that at least she can benefit from the light of my soul now since I was introduced to Kabbalah.
