Great video! Thank you so much Debbie I love learning new terms like Inverted Circumflex!. We're gone for 2 months snow-birding and we always turn off the water. You never know when you could have a power outage and lose heat for a couple days or even have a leak in the hose that brings water to the ice maker. Easy to do and could really save a big headache.

Debbie, a couple of months ago I was on a favorite dog rescue site. They describe the dogs and steer the viewer by stating such things as, “ great for an active family” or “ not good with young children”, etc. One listing stated, (three different times), : “not suitable for an elderly citizen”. I found it an odd choice of words, slightly offensive, but mostly amusing. Now all my older friends and I refer to ourselves as ‘elderly citizens’. I think I will add “old goat” as an alternative. Thanks for that, and all the great tips.

Thanks for your tips for technology buffs. - Re. home safety: Unfortunately, my even older neighbors (who could not sleep at night and had an eye on my house) slowly die away, but the younger ones also "grant" me longer trips and look after my home. Inside all doors and drawers are open! Besides: At my basement/cellar and main entrance doors I have put laminated pieces of paper with text in four major European languages and a marker attached: "Dear burglar. If you find any money or valuables, please note down where you found them. Thank you!" So far, my small TV and PC (both at least 5 years old) have welcomed me back after each trip.

Another question for you Debbie: I am purchasing a preowned 2020 Pleasure Way. Warranty is not transferrable. What’s your thoughts on buying dealer offered warranties? Thanks.
@FromShetoMe
@FromShetoMe 2 жыл бұрын
@@jessica340 I do not recommend it. Factory warranties don't cover third party components like the fridge, micro, generator, shades, inverter, batteries, hinges, pumps, heaters, etc. Is the dealer warranty different than that? Manufacturer warranties come directly from the manufacturer of those components not built by PW and they are usually one or two years max. The PW warranty covers things like cabinetry. PW builds high quality cabinets so I can't imagine you'd have a problem with those. I would guess that the dealer warranty would require you to bring it back to the dealer. So what do you do when you're on a trip to Alaska? We call warranties like that "boat payments." The dealer has a boat payment to make and you're gonna pay for his boat payment. But that's my opinion based on not having the offer in front me.

Hi Debbi, another great video filled with interesting tips. Thank you. On another note, we are thinking about getting the kids hammock to use as storage for our SuperBag bedding. Do you still use yours? Do you like it? Do you have any other suggestions? We have a PW Ford Transit OnTour 2.2 and hate to use the back upper cabinet for the bedding…thanks!
@FromShetoMe
@FromShetoMe 2 жыл бұрын
Over the years, we have reduced the need for storage. The hammock is best for light weight jackets, not bedding (as it probably wouldn't fit between the sofa and doors). So the only time we might use it is in the winter when we are taking extra jackets. However, one of these days I want to try to actually use it as a hammock. It's just so rare for us to have a campsite with trees so I can try it out. That's not a definitive answer but I hope it helps.

@kathleenculkin5008
@kathleenculkin5008 2 жыл бұрын
@@FromShetoMe I would echo your warning about minimizing what gets stored in the hammock. Even with only jackets, we got unlucky one night and while extending the bed, the hammock was dragged down along with the bed. Fortunately the only damage was to the cheap carabiner used to attach the hammock to the seat belt loop and to my heart which almost stopped when I heard the loud crunching sound. We are now very careful to ensure anything in the hammock maintains a slim profile between the sofa back and the door.

Airing down on rough roads is commonplace among off roaders. It smooths the ride significantly. But don’t do it without the right equipment. I don’t have a specific video and much depends on your tires but Google it and you’ll find lots of info. And happy sewing. 🧵
