I love the fact that this game does not hold your hand, there is so much to figure out that is not said in the game anywhere. It rewards experimentation and that something games don't do these days. They literally tell you everything within the first 10 minutes of the game. But in Far Cry you can go through the entire game and not know about certain things at all. For example the rocketteer mod. Just found it out now

Customization can still be a pain, even with 4 Load Out slots.... One for stealth, one for mayhem, one for speed, one for fishing, one for hunting, sheesh. If the Dev's wanted to go this direction, the should have like 5-10 Loadout Slots, then make the Loadouts "quick selectable" like the Weapons Wheel.

If you add explosive round on the compound bow the arrows exploded so you can take out helicopters and tanks easier In the game

Maybe I am a little late to the party, but thanks for the info!!! I finally started to enjoy the game and bought it after unraveling the cumbersome choices the Devs assembled here. As a long time Far Cry fan, with FC3 and FC5 being my highpoints, I had to resort to numerous tutorials to cut through "too many options" to try to get back to the essential and fun Far Cry experience. While extensive personalization sounds good in theory, in this game for me it ended up a waste of resources to try to get to the fun part. Once I spent hours studying "Tips and Tricks" and experimenting, I was able to sort of Reverse Engineer the game to enjoy it - maybe I am just Old School. Your video really helps, I just think Dev's made things cumbersome (turning off a good number of people) though I am sure they had good intentions.

Here, I’ll give a tip for you to put in the video. Tip 1: takedowns can increase your supremo level for you to use it. Tip 2: if you accidentally shoot your own teammate, you will have to fight it. Tip 3: you can take photos by pressing RB if your on Xbox Tip 4: trucks with a red trunk behind (enemy trucks) can give 9 or more los bandito members as long as you interact with the back of the truck.

Even if you didn't start on Guerilla like someone I know 🙄, I found it really helpful right away to turn on 'sound effect subtitles' : it will at least indicate enemies within 50m and the direction, can help hone in on the windchimes etc It's helped me, though I'll likely turn it off soon.

Another great video. Didn't know about release brakes. Did discover Hijack vehicle which is enormously helpful for getting trucks for camp resources and more. Feel like that deserves a mention as the game doesn't tell you about that either. (Not that I saw.) At first I would see a truck with metal, gas, meds, or prisoners and shoot at the vehicle to get its attention and make them stop then kill the occupants and get in. But driving (or riding a horse) next to them and pressing melee attack to Hijack was WAY BETTER. Also good to hijack soldiers mounted on horses. Sometimes easier/ cleaner than shooting them. Checkpoints have a vehicle ready there. Usually a 4-wheeler. I would fast travel to the checkpoint just north of Montero camp, hop on a quad and find a truck with resources close by and drive it to the Montero camp early in the game to get some nice chunks of resources early. Checkpoints seem to have a higher chance of seeing a truck just standing there anyway. Checkpoints turn into chokepoints after you blow up, or park, a few vehicles to block the road then wait for desired truck.

Some great tips! I had no idea about scanning vehicles. In fact I was confused about the "cannot scan" message when scanning bases or checkpoints. Also, you don't need that hover vehicle to stay under the radar. I'm early in the game and found that you can easily fly the first helicopter around as long as you stay low. If you clip some trees etc just repair it.

I've been playing this game for about 5/6 weeks now, and I only learnt about the scanning thing from another video earlier today - i always find it's a good game if you're still discovering base functions but later in play (SPOILER:I've only just today done the mission where you set charges/storm the hotel/anton isn't there) so I'm not that far either

I'm late too, and someone may have mentioned this already, but woth the buzzer you can call it from any helo or boat station. Also, wear the scrounger jeans so you auto repair it while flying, great for when your flying low bumping into stuff

Best tip I got is if you are clearing a base or checkpoint if you take out the guards and billboards to "clear" the area you will be given keys to the doors. Then you can pillfer without having to duck dodge dive and dodge.

I just started getting into the far cry series, farcry 4 left a bad taste in my mouth and stayed away till just recently finishing the story to farcry 5 from gamepass( it was free) so I liked 5 so much as to get 6 and just started and liking it so far just learning and I must say your videos are helping me out the alarms have went over my head, so the last couple takeovers made me feel like I was playing 4 again nearly quitting

They absolutely have no idea. I've been using it since the respond on soldiers are a little wonky to walk away from the anti air craft guns before blowing it up. Also if you use it else where the soldiers will go to the area of the explosion instead of looking where you currently are (GJ ubisoft on that detail).

I also found if you do use explosive and flame ammo . Equip the armour that protects u from flame and explosive damage . It helps if ya close and want to go Rambo style on any bases without getting hurt by your own weapons. Especially the gloves that put you out .

Apparently most gamers get to the second island :(Juan base) and never come back because initially there is no chopper call spot on this island but...if you go to one outside island and then look at the second Isle the chopper call base is there. Go back to the second isle and the baby chopper will be sitting there on the pad and you can use the phone to put it in your collection of choppers. Its available very early this way and is great for getting past the anti aircraft guns by flying low.

It's also fun to use your repair torch to light the red gas on fire. Shoot one hole in the flammable truck, let it roll forward a bit and then light the gas! Good times!

Thanks for this! The Criptograma stuff was very useful. The C4 suggestions gave me such joy 🤣. But you didn't explain how to get more C4 other than equip other Supremos. When I got into level 11, I had 13 C4 at one point. But it all changed when I did The Vanishing (the Stranger Things quest) when the game equipped me with the Kukly bullshit weapons. Since then, I was stuck truing to get back my trust set of clothes & weapons - I no longer have my 13 glorious C4's & proximity babies *ehem* mines in 1 Supremo slot 😅. Did you ever find out how to get more than 10 C4's in 1 Supremo slot?

man i started the game on the "story mode" because i like to explore and stuff but its WAY too easy lol. I mean i was in HEAVY gun fire at times and just wasn't taking any damage. I had to switch it to action mode its much better lol.

It's definitely not an easy game. Story mode is absolutely fine for most players. I class myself as a decent level player and I still often die 2-3 times per mission. It's a difficult in parts. Certainly not "easy".

There are literally hundreds of combinations of Gear Sets available for any and all scenarios of combat and game play, heck, even hunting & fishing !! A Loadout for all your Wearable Gear would have been a very nice convenient feature to swap-out gear fast and efficiently !! Ubisoft missed out on this one !! Big Disappointment !! LOL

Another thing u can do is go into the weapon wheel and on most automatic weapons u can swap types of fire rate from full auto to burst fire or single shot I used burst fire for stealthy headshots

I think you get to keep your Pre-Order stuff as well as purchased ones from the Ubisoft credits store but not so sure about the black market ones.
