Quick 1 minute maths: Share an amount into a ratio

How to share £216 into the ratio 3:5:4
3 golden rules:
a) Add the ratio: 3+5+4=12
b) Divide total by this 216/12=18
c) Multiply the ratio by this answer 3:5:4 X 18 = 54 : 90 : 72
Check the new ratio adds to the total which in this case is 216
