I guess the watchword should be, observe but verify. You're a good guy and don't mind admitting and correcting your mistakes. That's why I watch you more than anyone else.

Good thing you figured that out about the motors buddy! So better off just cut them to be on the safe side to figure if it’s aluminum or copper. Another great video buddy!!

Suggestion/experiment; maybe keep a coffee can next to where you work and put all them screws in it and see 1) how long it takes to fill, 2) what’s it weigh and 3) keeps them out of your tires….win win win! 🤓 I believe you are the hardest working scrapper on KZbin. 💪🏼 God bless 🙏🏼🇺🇸

Thank you Dale. I will try that experiment 🔬 I love what I do. It is helping me in my semi retirement plan. I do not punch a clock anymore. It keeps my bones from freezing up. The less I move the more I hurt. Scrapping is fun and entertaining. Your the best. Thanks for the visit.

I agree they are but time is money. I only make maybe 25 cents for the small motors and I get 8 cents a pound if I leave it like it is. So I only loose 4 cents

Copper wires are classified by insulation % to copper % 40% and some yards 50% is most commonly applied to house cords so is those wires inside dryers and washers to. You forgot about heating coils $1.00 to $2.00 a lb

So the motors in dryers aren't copper or are some copper I'm about to take apart one apart wondering if it's even worth it

Not worth the time to me. There mostly aluminum so you will get around 20 cents a pound for it. Motors pay 20 to 25 cents a pound.

Grandpa, does all of the motor windings go as EC Wire if extracted, or does it have to be a certain diameter?
