Quick and easy new PVA glue testing as a pouring medium - Ring Pour - worked out nicely

I was recommended a 'Vinylkleber' to test out for the acrylic pouring and this videos is my first attempt making a decent pour with it.
As it almost has the same consistency as my usual acrylic binder has - this went pretty easy to get my colors mixed as I am used to.
Perheps I went a bit too thin on this attempt and of course I mexed too much - blame me ;DD
The Drip-offs of course were saved as usual.

I have just started playing with Elmer’s Glue Mixed with Floetrol and a few drops of silicone. Amazing cells! Was doing an ocean wave. Absolutely love it. See Carl Mazur’s rustic wave (1 year ago), this is what my wave looks like. I chose a different sky using DecoArt Americana Satin Enamel to produce the “new” cloud look. Keep up the great artistry!

Very pretty ! I use PVA too : sometimes with floetrol or floetrol alone but never glue alone! But I'll try it (I have seen many videos from Julie Cutt and her paints are beautiful! 😄)

Hi Michael, Your painting turned out nice. I never used the glue before, didn't care how it looked when I 've seen others use it by on KZbin. I justed started using floetrol and I am not sure how I feel about it. I know that I don't like those nasty lumps you get in it. Sorry that I wasn't any help.

I know I also had this happen a couple times....Sucked!! I started siffing it through and filling it into squeeze bottles to have it save...but it was a bit annoying still...but well...other than that it really worked great.

The lumps tend to be in older stock. When I get fresh bottles I don’t have the lumps.

I know :) I also tried 2 years ago as I told and probably had the wrong glue or whatever. Mine made the paints rip and crack and I then put it aside until this new suggestion :)

@@MKLGRMFineArt Yes, could be the glue. I've had success with Elmer's Glue-All and a PH neutral PVA. The brand Annemarie uses is Collall Bookbinders Glue.

Very nice pour my friend! (sorry, just saw you posted this video), right now on minute 4:53 it looks to me like an upside down man's head tilted up and he is screaming (and there is this like echo image of his head), but also when I look at it I can see a vampire flying lol (lol you know me and my crazy imagination lol) ... in a way it's super cool lol. What kind of pva glue did you get? normally I've heard that the brand Elmer's (but the school glue one), is perfect for pourings, but I've only used modge podge matte, then use the modge podge glossy for varnish, granted I've only done three pours in my life, but always wanted to know if using glue truly worked... you showed me it does :) ♥

Mine is from Gerstacker but not use it for all my techiques yet...so cannot really tell if this really works good for me or not but so far it looks pretty promising. It does create own cells...which I might find disturbing for some techniques that I like the most but I will investigate that further ^^

I had cracking with the glue. It’s wasn’t any cheaper either. I didn’t see any benefit to adding pva vs without. I use only floetrol with a small amount of water. Tried liquitex pouring medium, only difference with that was dry time.

Herma Otter best of luck :)) i think you also should be able to get the Boesner acrylic binder that I usually use in Holland. I have linked it under most of my pouring videos as well. Mixed with the glue it makes it even more stable and causes less of the cells that came up with the glue...this seems to be a good working and somewhat predictable mixture :)

Try mixing the PVA with Liquitex Pouring Medium and Varnish in one and then slow down the drying process by drying the canvas under a tarp or something similar and you should not have any cracking or yellowing . Your pour here looks very nice . I also was leery of using PVA till I saw a "mix recipe" on Molly's Artistry channel. Check her video out she is very informative and made a great tutorial video on how she mixes her pouring medium using PVA in it. Good luck. !! 😉😉😉

THanks Julie :)) I think I will make my mixture with the PVA and my acrylic binder that I am used to...kind of best of both worlds and pricewise super sweet still having both as my medium...there are always a ton of different ways on how to prepare ones mixture :)
