Quick and Simple Ring Bound Journal Cover from a Canvas Board - Part 2

I use a very small sponge paint roller to apply a very thin, even layer of Elmer’s Glue All to the chip board or card stock, to eliminate bubbles and uneven surfaces. School glue is intended to be washed away, and is affected by humidity. Sometimes a warm iron can be used to reactivate Elmer’s Glue All, but without steam. The sponge paint rollers are inexpensive and are often packaged with a small tray. When not in use, they can be stored n a sealed plastic bag and even placed in the freezer. For cleaning, I clip the sponge roller to the side of a tall plastic container (the sponge tries to float), and then after soaking, squeeze the water out. Repeat until water runs clear.

Goodness that added stabilo makes such an amazing difference in highlighting the almost faux wood panel effect. It reminds me of a beach hut in westward Ho! In Devon, UK. With floral curtains in the little windows and butterflies bathing in the sunshine.

It's looking more beautiful each time you add something. I'm impressed with that fabric glue. I'll have to look for it when I go to the city. I live in a small town so I can't always find what I want in town. There's bigger stores not too far away.

Use a needle for sewing denim, very heavy duty.
