I would like to buy your FIGMENT WATER - VOLUME 1 collection, but wondering if it will work exactly the same with Corona Render?

I believe Corona has the ability to use max standard lights with its own Corona Shadow - just like i use VRayShadow in the example above. But I would suggest you download the free caustics sample, and confirm that it works as intended, before buying. I found this forum post that seems to suggest that with Corona the light needs to be a Spot instead of Direct to enable control of the area shadow softness: forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=3194.0

A very useful guide! but I wonder is this caustic effect reflected on the surface of the house?
@HenrikBC2 жыл бұрын
It is not. With the technique from this tutorial (refraction pass + compositing in AE) there is zero light/reflections added to the house. If you need the caustics (the pool surface + caustics) to be reflected in the house windows, then that would require some extra trickery. If I stumble upon an easy way to do this, I might make another tutorial for that specifically.

Is there a standard corona 'Water' material you use to go with this?

I used a V-Ray standard material with the Water preset - and only changed the fog color + depth to make the water more blue. I'm sure there is a preset in the Corona shader that can create equal results.

How you will render this

The tutorial explains how you set up the render passes needed with 3ds max + V-Ray, so I'm not sure I understand your question?

isnt more easy to include on the light properties just the botom of the pool and dont need to make compositing
@HenrikBC3 ай бұрын
Yes, but that way you lose all the shadows being cast from objects above the pool, like trees, furniture, inflatable ball floating in the water etc.
