Good stuff! I’m at 184k. My F10 has been good to me. In the near future, must consider rod bearings. I change my oil every 5k. Curious to see what they will be like.

Where did you get the tool that holds the sprocket in place and whats the cost ? And the king bearings you say have a looser tolerance , so with that being the case you don't have to check tolerance with plasti gauge? And with any looser tolerance bearing , is it the same, no need to check tolerance, just put them in? Thanks for your help in advance /

At what mileage do you suggest doing the rod bearings on the N55? I have a 2012 BMW X6 N55 engine , with around 129k miles on it.

Good video, I think I'll be doing this myself on my M235i xdrive. I only have jack stands, but I have tall ones that give me ~2 feet of height. Do you think that would be possible? It's in a garage so I don't have to do it all in one day. I also have a trans jack to take down the sub frame.

Expense and it is not a built motor to where that would be necessary.

I was Today in a bmw Engine restore Workshop, they told me only one round 70 degree is necessary on n55 not 2, but i also see in tis 2 rounds..

New TIS states twice. I would not feel comfortable with only one!!!

@@BimmerHausPerformance me too, my way would 20Nm+70 degree, then wait 20 mind let the bolt relax, then again 70 degree.

Those are M calipers for an f30. I have a set of 550 calipers restored, painted, and ready to go for an f10. Just DM me.
