Thanks for sharing.. V informative. I bought one like that almost dead with brown spots on the leaves at a bargain and would like to try my hands at saving them. Could you do a video on how to save dying iron Cross... What should one do to revive them... Thanks a lot again

You are welcome Iron cross begonias are extremely sensitive and unpredictable. However once they are stable, they will do just fine. But if they are rotting n dying, it may be too challenging if the fungus had set in. I had given away my iron cross as it appears not a suitable condition in my garden to grow. I might try again another time n once I find the right successful method, I will definitely share a video on it.

Should I cut off the dying leaves?

It all depends on your garden condition. If your place has high humidity and the growth rate of this begonia is fast then by all means do cut the dying leaves but say the growth is very slow and you only have 5 leaves and 3 of it is dying then better not as you might stress off the plant. My suggestion - let the plant to it naturally by turning yellow and drying off - it is much safer than way as these types are see no touch plants - any physical contact - touching and brushing can even harm them.

i keep seeing them wilt leaf by leaf but they are hardly getting much light; the soil is relatively moist, but it just keeps loosing leaves

It happens Iron Cross is very fussy and super sensitive and does not do well when it comes to stress - they at times drop all the leaves when they get even one time stress. Just check there is no rot taking place, also even changing the medium and repot or doing anything else can also cause them to get stress again. Hence it is indeed a very difficult plant to determine what exactly is the cause of the left dropping.

Thanks for the video. What medium do you plant these in?
