Every time I do this, my mesh ends up looking extremely skinny, am I doing some thing wrong?

Did you try this approach with Character Creator 4 exported characters like the default Kevin? It doesn't seem to work as the proportions are off.

make sure that bone names are the same with the als or ue mannequin

you have to rig the character from mixamo to ue4 skeleton before importing (use blender or acurig)

To remove the mesh change feature I believe it’s in als_animMan_character. Should be able to find it pretty quickly look for the input action that uses m key and delete everything connected. Hope this helps someone

it'd be nice if you'd just say UE4 in the title... instead of implying that you're doing anything unique to 5.1... you get to the end of this with a UE5 asset and it looks MANGLED
