Quick Connect / Disconnect Marine VHF Antenna Mount (F234)

Unboxing and review of the Digital Antenna brand model F234 Ferrule and Stainless Steel Collet. Attach and remove a Marine VHF antenna without twisting the coax cable connected to the end of the antenna. This part is solid stainless steel and made in the USA.

Thumbs down body, think about common sense, if you unroll the antenna cable and leave the other end unplug and turn freely the problem would have been solved without buying that extra part or that quick connection you are trying to sell,LOL come on man!

Thanks for the comment, Jeff. Like many people, my antenna cable is routed through the boat so the other end (15 feet away and routed though the tower) cannot be unattached so that it spins freely. As mentioned in the video, I was using a short cable between the antenna and fixed cable. The short cable can be disconnected at the other end after attaching to the antenna allowing it to spin freely, which is what I have done for years. However, another connector between the short cable and fixed cable does cause signal loss and introduces a point of failure. Different installations and goals may prioritize different solutions. This solution may not be ideal or necessary for your situation; however, I felt it was worth taking the time to make this video in case it could help others.
