Hi, you can drag the divider between the task details and the calendar to the left and the task details area will automatically hide.

Is the task pop-up through cursor hovers Show with Calendar feature only available on Mac/iOS? I doesn't seem to show up on Windows.

The 'Show with Calendar' feature requires you to right-click on the Task icon to enable it. Give that a try, and it should work on Windows as well!
