Ford has been manufacturing cars in Mexico since 1925. Depending on what type of truck you want Chevy also makes the Silverado in Springfield Ohio, Flint Michigan and Fort Wayne Indiana. Dodge Rams are made in Sterling Heights Michigan. It is also "tough" to find any vehicle made in the USA (or any one singular country). The vehicle itself may be assembled in different plants across the USA (or Canada or Mexico) but the parts come from all over North America (and the world). There is no real such thing as a "Made in America" product anymore. Trump is blowing smoke up your a hole. He promotes "made in America" while all his products he shills to people are from China.

The many workers I saw working at these plants spend money in the USA. I don't think that the workers in Mexico are spending their wages in the USA contributing to the USA economy. I know that the parts to make these trucks come from all over the world not just the USA and I'm aware that Ford builds some vehicles in Mexico. When Trump put tariffs on Chinese goods, the Chinese ate 80% of those tariffs. If you don't want to pay the tariffs then buy goods made in America or Canada or another country that is our friend. The Chinese through the Mexican drug cartels are importing a weapon of mass destruction e.i. fentanyl that has killed a quarter of a million Americans. If you want to support that, you can be taxed for it. You can also pay the tax for the benefit you get for buying goods made with slave labor.

People have to understand Tariffs. Most people in the States think that when China has tariffs placed on their goods, the Chinese government has to pay them. NO the American consumer has to pay them. For example when Walmart buys an item for $1.00 from China, they pay China $1.00 for the goods. When it comes into the USA Trump imposes a 100% tariff on the item. No Walmart has to pay the US government $1.00. The price of that item is now $2.00, when Walmart gets it they add their 50% mark up and the Item is now $3.00. The American citizen then buys it and can't understand why the price is so much higher. Most inexpensive items will be coming from China, and they will continue to come into the USA from China with or without a duty. With no Tariff the price of the $1.00 item coming from China would have been $1.50 after market up, with a 100% duty it is $3.00, 1 dollar going into the US government treasury, and a 100% mark up going to Walmart. So with Tariffs like this the American consumer may be paying up to twice what they were normally paying, and this will cause an even higher inflation rate within the USA. Not to mention that other countries will be putting tariffs on goods coming from the USA and you have a trade war that won't be won by anyone but the governments that are hauling in all this dough from the tariffs. The average Joe will be paying a lot more for everything. The American people can't seem to understand this logic, but they will. US Farmers complained about the tariffs when Trump was in his first term. Many farmers lot their contracts of grains, soy, rice and pork to other countries, and they have never been able to get that market back. Trump will be more concerned about getting back at the Democrats than he will be at running the country, so I hope you got what you wanted when you voted for this idiot. I am not a Liberal voter, but protectionism like that being implemented by Trump has always been a Democrat method of running the country, and it has never worked for them. The Republicans have always wanted trade, but now that they have this new President, the Republicans have morphed into Democrats.
