I’m so happy you get to go back to WDW! I literally just returned today from about a week in the parks. I must say in comparison to my trip in January 2020, this trip won me over. I’m a big rides person and being able to ride things multiple times and lots of short lines made it 1000% worth it. Monday-Thursday crowds were obviously a lot different than Friday and Saturday. It felt very RELAXED. And I loved that. Less people = less hustle and bustle and more time/space to take everything in. I would love for everything to return to “‘normal” but at the same time, I fear that relaxed of a trip will never happen again!! It didn’t feel like we had to struggle to fit everything in we wanted, or choose some big rides over others because we don’t like waiting in super long lines. We were able to ride Mickey and minnies twice on Tuesday and only waited about 20 minutes each time. The longest we waited all trip was either about an hour for Splash (on Saturday peak time - it was only 10 min on Monday when it was FREEZING) and Mine Train (also Saturday, about an hour - mainly because there was a cleaning cycle when we were in line)

Mickeys and Minnie run away railway is amazing you will love it ! Love the ears ! You will have a great time and Disney is doing a great job with cleaning and all that stuff ! When I was there in November I felt much safer then I do going to the grocery store

Make sure you stay hydrated! We found when we went that because of the masks it's really easy to not drink enough water.

My husband sounds similar to yours. Here is what I planned to do last March before our trip was called off. Have a few quiet nights in and then go to Bull and Bear at the Waldorf and have a lovely meal. Make it feel less Disney centered at night. I was going to Disney during the day alone. Kind of best of both worlds.

Happy for you that you are getting to come back to WDW! From what I've seen, Gideon's is extremely busy -- go early and get a reservation to return later to buy what you want. (crazy that you have to make a reservation to buy cookies! lol) Things are different at the parks amid covid times, but still magical and still so much fun! I actually love the lower crowd levels, the enhanced cleaning and the space you are supposed to keep away from people because I have always hated people right on top of me on lines! Wearing the mask all day is daunting -- especially if it is hot. But February should be beautiful weather for you!

Ducktales is a hugggee hyperfixation for me right now. Those ears are perfect!!! The coins on the baaaack, scrouges hat lol! Ooogh I wish they were still available lol. Yay Becka!!! I am so glad you get to go to WDW! I just went in October and trust me, it was absolutely as magical and in some ways even more because of reduced capacity and some of the other rules. My mom and I had a blast! We flew out of terminal 2 at here at MSP and felt incredibly safe the whole time. Feel free to reach out if you want more specifics. Stay warm this weekend!

I am so happy you have a trip planned - When I go with my husband he is like Aaron, he will come for a day or two but loves just sitting by the pool and reading. I am so excited for you!! I have been a handful of times since the parks re-opened, and it has felt safe every time!! The cast members emphasize to keep masks on at all times over the nose and mouth! We were able to go to WDW right after Thanksgiving last year. I loved Mickey's Runaway Railway! I hope you do too! I also got to ride Flight of Passage for the 1st time and I LOVED that, screamed my head off the 1st time lol but the second time I knew what to expect and could enjoy everything a little better. Enjoy your time in the happiest place on earth!
