I was born and raised in Las Cruces. I hope you ate at the La Nueva Casita Cafe. Then next is Becks Coffee shop. Try going to the Downtown Farmers Market on a Saturday morning or a Wednesday evening during the Summer months. Please go visit Mesilla just south of Las Cruces on Avenida de Mesilla. In December around 11th or so, Tortugas Pueblo’s annual Virgen de Guadalupe Fiesta (South of Las Cruces off Main Street) do their annual pilgrimage up to the A mountain and have a powwow

I have been away from Las Cruces, now, for seven years, living in Mississippi, and I must thank you sincerely for taking the time to make this video. The streets you traveled on were familiar, but I also know that in the short time I've been away, so many new businesses have come in to the city. You mentioned La Casita Nueva on San Pedro street across from the small park. You were in the heart of one of the most historic neighborhoods in Las Cruces, and I have eaten at La Casita Nuevo many times. I do miss the Mexican food so much.

@@julie_EnRen From what I’ve gathered via KZbin, the weekend farmers market in town is nice, the Village of Mesilla looks like something to see, and if you make it up Hwy 70, the Organ Mtns and White Sands National Park may be worth a peek. Thanks again. I look forward to your future videos.

I'd like to ask you once again...Before you leave us here in ELP...could you do a video of the Amtrak Union Station when the Amtrak Sunset Limited train arrives / departs El Paso? It's just behind the Civic Center. I KNOW you have tons of things to do right now, especially prior to your move...But it would be greatly appreciated! Please consider? I know the Amtrak conductors and engineers would appreciate your interaction with them! Plus it would give you and your kids a chance to see a passenger train close up. Thanks again!

I moved to Las Cruces in 2021 and out of all the cities and states I have lived, I can say by far the people who live here are the nicest people! Oh and by the way, the Golden Corral here has really nice people working there as well.

I visited Cruces often when I lived in El Paso. The bookstore and the theater in Mesilla. The Organ Mountains are magnificent. The strange thing about Cruces is that while it always looks calmer and quieter than Paso, it actually has a higher crime rate. Go figure.

Funny how just 45 mins down the road, the VIBE can totally change. I love Las Cruces NM. Not too long ago they updated the downtown area, and really cleaned it up. Next trip go check out Cloud Croft NM considering the heat you are all in, it will be so much cooler and green! The West Side is crazy. ;) If you get a chance to go DONIPHAN to Las Cruces do so, its much prettier and a more relaxed drive. Since you are from the NE just hit Transmountain over and go all the way down to Doniphan. COAS BOOKSTORE is the Best, Tell Mike that Jeff from Toy Soldiers sent you.. He may remember me. LOL.

Moved her 2 yrs ago- mixed feelings for sure. Its so gorgeous but the homeless increase and encampments and aggression when out shopping is scary. You dont ever get out of your car without being careful, watchful and aware even in the daytime. Best mexican food ever, and those Organ mountains are so lovely. There are many run down strip malls and the community tries hard to keep things together with little help from city govt.

I know But sadly they turned some of the Village inn into a place called Butter Smiths. They still serve the same food as Village inn but it does have some different qualities. There is only one remaining Village inn in Cruces.

Hello, Mary. We didn’t drive too much into the city and I wouldn’t really know what kind of situation the city faces as far as un housed people are concerned. What I did read, using a quick google search, is that the city does address the problem and has partnered with others to help those in need of a home. Thanks you for watching!

Las Cruces is kinda boring! I suggest u visit Ruidoso, u can visit the Flying J ranch, Fort Stanton historic site, &,Lincoln historic site. Santa Fe & Taos New Mexico also has a lot of nice stuff to see👀

@@julie_EnRen I went to visit Ruidoso recently & it's only a 2 hour drive! Took my child to see the Grindstone Lake also & they have nice shops or restaurants on Sudderth drive. The only thing is it might be more cold than El Paso but it's so peaceful over there🤗

@@julie_EnRen There's also places for kids in Ruidoso like Pillow fun trackers & a roller coaster called Screaming Eagle. I only go to Cruces when There's a festival going on or an event there. Cruces is okay but there's also other nice places to visit too!
