Thank you for all the humidity proofing videos! I live in Florida and it’s brutal. On top of just learning how to care for my wavy fine thin hair has been overwhelming, but I almost have a routine down thanks to you.

This makes a lot of sense. I grew up in high humidity but only realized that I have wavy hair after I moved to an extremely low humidity state. The last time I went back home I attempted to style my hair wavy but it just turned into a giant frizz ball. Styling my hair and getting good results is so much easier in low humidity.
@HolisticEnchilada2 ай бұрын
It is so much easier in less humid places for sure. But if it's really dry, my hair isn't as curly.

@@HolisticEnchilada In the summer I can still get good results with low humidity but in the winter time it can definitely get tricky.

Another huge hug and thank you from Belgium, never found better tips and tricks for my fine thin curly hair. Your tutorials are so clear and helpfull! I lost my curls due to heavy medication and mostly being bedridden. Thanks to your tips they are actually back. Forever grateful!!!

I actually like humidity for my hair. It makes my hair curlier. In the winter, when there's no humidity, my hair is far less curly.
@HolisticEnchilada2 ай бұрын
I notice this too, but it just gets so fluffy in the humidity for me. It just puffs out and loses all definition. In dry climates, it's more wavy than curly. But no frizz!

Thanks for your info! For what I see, you have healthy hair. I color and have highlights on my low density hair. It is difficult to find the right mix, but you have helped a great deal. I live in florida and friz is my major problem.
@HolisticEnchilada2 ай бұрын
You're welcome! And yes, my hair is healthy. If you have damaged hair, that means it's likely high porosity which will react more to the humidity and be more prone to frizz in general.

I love watching your videos to see what works for your hair type. The wonder balm was also recognized by another youtuber with very coarse, thick curly hair which makes me think it works for most curl types it it works for both you and her! My hair actually thrives in humidity and my thirsty curls cant get enough! I find I sometimes dont even need to use gel just a foam custard which is a nice break from the constant dryness my hair gets in winter.

I find that my hair likes some humidity, not too much, and it's not very happy when I travel to dry climates like Colorado. That's nice for you that you don't need much in humidity. Lucky there!

Hi Delilah. Almost everything you explained applies to my hair and my preferences! From scalp sensitivity, cowlicks, fine hair, avoiding fragrances, needing to humidity proof (I live in south coastal Florida.) I've been getting good results from using these products: Innersense color awakening shampoo and conditioner, Innersense moisture mask (occasionally), no leave-in conditioner. Then, Curlsmith heat protectant (new to me but first application worked great to protect and encourage curl.) It has a light fragrance which did not linger. I sprayed it on my hands to help control the amount I used. Then, Giovanni LA Hold gel (fairly generous amount mixed with a pea size amount of Curlsmith strong hold shine gel (unscented) and drops of water. Then scrunch and diffuse. I'm looking forward to trying some of the products you used in the video! Your hair looks lovely and healthy!

Thank you! I also really like that Giovanni gel but I haven't tried the Curlsmith Shine gel yet.
@kChandler10Ай бұрын
@@HolisticEnchilada the shine gel alone leaves my hair weighed down, but a pea sized amount mixed with LA Hold gives me a bit of shine without the heavy feeling. I just noticed there is protein in the curlsmith heat protectant. Not sure if it will be too much for my hair long term due to protein sensitivity. We will see!

Delilah! This is it! I tried this same routine last night and it is raining today and my hair is definitely holding up right now ( will report back after the day). I feel like it might be the Wonderbalm that is making the difference. I have always thought it was too heavy, but this sequence might just be my answer to Iowa weather. Thank you!

A huge hug and thank you from Knoxville Tn..my hair falls flat before I walk out the door..I've been using carols daughter and Cantu..so I'm sure I'm over moisturizing...do you have drugstore picks?
@HolisticEnchilada2 ай бұрын
I have an affordable routine I did a few weeks ago and I'm planning a drugstore version of a humidity proof routine soon. But TWIST is great and cheap! Their gel had been out of stock for a while but Tresemme, Curl Talk, Harry's, and Aussie Instant Freeze are other cheap gel options.

Thank you for the video. Great tips. One non-hair question, though: What lipstick (color & brand) are you wearing? It's beautiful on you. My hair and skin tone are similar.

Thanks! It's the Kosas Weightless Lip Color in Undone which they don't make anymore. They replaced it with the shade Turned On. Here is my affiliate link: kosas.7zgd.net/bandzb

New here 🤗 how do you sleep with your hair? I tried most curly recommended hairstyles but they seem to work only on thicn haired girlies 😅 My thin hair gets soooo tangled and / or frizzy/poofy when I sleep in it no matter the hairstyle or the silky pillows and wraps 🥲🥲

I use a hair buff which is what works best for me. It sill gets a little stretched out loses volume, but it's the best result compared to other options. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bX-XZ6Fuo6qbl5I

I live in Florida as well, but have always heard to stay away from Glycerine because it causes frizz. This gel has glycerin as the 3rd ingredient. I’m just wondering why it works in the Florida climate
@HolisticEnchilada2 ай бұрын
Did you watch my video from last week about glycerin? That's not really true. This gel has a lot of anti-humidity ingredients in it so the glycerin won't cause any problems.

Polymers and emollients really build up on my hair and I can't keep clarifying cause then I get a very dry and itchy scalp.
@HolisticEnchilada2 ай бұрын
Yeah it's a problem for a lot of people. You have to find the right balance that works for you.
@homiekeen232 ай бұрын
Maybe you could use them and clarify, but then find a product that works for your scalp and apply it to keep it from getting dry? (Just brainstorming here😄)
