I really enjoy using my Neocolor ii, but I would be very interested in a comparison video between those, the Art Philosophy crayons that you mentioned and any of the other water soluble crayons you have. And maybe another video comparing Daniel Smith tubes and crayons? Thank you for another informative video ❤

More Neocolor II videos please! This is a beautiful painting & you have shown me techniques I had not seen before. What is the brand of sharpener that you use with your Neocolor II?
@paintingandchocolate2 ай бұрын
I'm glad! It's Faber Castell

I've had these in my Amazon cart for months ... trying to make a decision!!! As you have shown the best way to use them - they are beautiful!!! However, I'm not sure if I need them if they're so much like watercolor!!! ❤

I haven't seen too many other uses that I can justify my $50 purchase... Anyone have other ideas??? 🎉
@LovinLnCottage2 ай бұрын
Great for travel because they are a dry pigment and won’t leak or give you headaches with TSA. All you need is the palette to mix your colors, a little mist er, a waterbrush, and your travel journal. (A pencil, if you must.)

So many ways to use these crayons and achieve a variety of effects. Always interesting to see what you can do with a basic set. Thank you. What is the other palette besides Caran D'Ache?
@coolrunnings32 ай бұрын
Art Philosophy.

The other palette is a handmade one from a spanish creator.

To get opaque details without sharpening Neo color II after you wet the tip you can then use a detail paint brush directly on the tip. The result will be both opaque and detailed.
@marshalepage53302 ай бұрын
I also use a dip pen directly on the tip of Neo Color II and this produces opaque fine as hair details. For slightly thicker opaque lines I use glass dip pen. For ultra fine details I use Japanese anime G tip detail pen.

Where did you buy your crayon mat ( for blending )? I’m having trouble locating one.
@Julie-vy3oz2 ай бұрын
I found an inexpensive and smallish plastic cutting board from the dollar store that had a slightly rough surface and it works great!
@paintingandchocolate2 ай бұрын
It's Caran d'Ache, must be available on Amazon.

Some of us spend a great deal of time in a motorhome, with limited space and water supplies. Solid, but water soluble, media are much easier to store and use. I’m having to adapt many of these techniques, from this channel and others, to cope with very varying circumstances and environments. I’ve found pencils and crayons to be much more adaptable.
@demuredragonfly.Ай бұрын
@@keithroy9217 Even to do this techniques u need water and brush, i just don't see the reason why. But do whatever you want, you don't have to justify what and how you doing, we all have different opinions on this
