Rosemary these are all so cute!! For that s'mores sandwich, i was wondering - do you have one of those little creme brulee type torches? Those are great for giving marshmallows toasty edges without a campfire 😊 I still microwave them first, bc torching is very quick and wont melt the marshmallow innards. 🔥

Just don’t go to your local Goodwill to buy coffee or cocoa mugs. They will cost twice as much as Dollar Tree. 😯 You’re really going after sticking those skewers in those candies, aren’t you? I’m trying to get my house put together. I’ve only lived here about six years. I may as well decorate. I rarely shop and because I’m diabetic I try to avoid goodies. I want to eat them. I just don’t let myself. If you didn’t show these things I’d be going around with my head in a diabetes monitor and never know what is out there. On the upside… I’ve lost weight. Not from skipping treats. Mostly from having had the flu. I got the flu shot, but caught a different strain. I went to the ER January 21st and I’m still trying to get well.

A lot of treats can be made with Stevia instead of real sugar and even some protein powder used as the sugar and the added protein can help keep your carb intake at a more manageable and steady level. ❤ My daughter is a type1 and my dad is a type 2 and I often make treats using alternate flours for my dad (like nut flours), but for my daughter she is allergic to all nuts, we use soy products and fake sugars to offset the sugars and carbs. ❤ I really hope this helps and that you feel better fron the flu. Life should be a bit of fun and yes, treats, even healthy made ones, can make a day brighter ❤

@@breezeh1127 That’s true, but diabetics can have sugar in moderation. I’d rather maintain control over my sugar intake and use sugar rather than Stevia, which leaves much to be desired, or artificial sweeteners that we are told are bad for us, but we’re not always informed how (Splenda). Thank you for the suggestion though. 🤙🏻

@@Red_Queens_Jubilee_Club Yes they definitely can have sugars in moderation but it all depends on what type and how far their diabetes has gone. If you are a type 1 then yes..have all the sugar you want but make sure you don't have a sugar crash while dosing insulin. As for a type 2..if you are pill and diet dependant for control, moderation works. But if you are type 2 insulin dependant (and also insulin resistant) that can be much trickier since often insurances only allow for a certain amount of dosing a day (usually only 2..woth a long acting in te background) due to the fact the insulin doesn't work the same for resistance as it does for thise who just don't produce it. Type 1s dose every time they need. Type 2s are not treated the same unfortunately, so that's why I suggested an alternative(in case you are). If you are a type 3..well they can also have sugar any time they want (as long as they watch for crashes) and dose any time they want. 1 1/2s can too. Good luck 💜.
