I’m New to the game and really enjoy the Eldar,but I always get destroyed against people but do alright on insane ai ,maybe you can release more videos on eldar since this one helped me start off the game but need more tips lol

@@Angel-zh1ib use reapers as starting units with fleet of foot upgrade, rangers are good against low morale enemy units like guardsmen, make at least two generators then go tier 2 for harlequins

@@lachusity I usual do get the reapers but they r expensive tho so I feel like when I try to stack them up early I’ll be low on resources but I always lose to those grenade launchers from the imperial guard

@@Angel-zh1ib if IG invests in tier1 with a tactica control then you will be likely to invest some additional tier1 firepower too, you can buy photon grenades for guardians to stun guardsmen or buy the rangers (maybe infiltration). also, do not max out reaper squads, its better to use more lower size squads to mitigate grenade stun from IG and melee units from tying up your squads. a third option is to buy your hero and charge her into guardsmen with nades, they will run and reapers should be able to kill some units during this but you have to master fleet of foot use and micro well.

It is interesting to see how you play. When I tried to play with IG against insane AI, the only way I found I could beat it was by being incredibly aggressive in the early game. By playing game this way, I jumped in my first MP game. 2 IG vs 2 Ork players. I pushed my ally to be hyper aggressive as I'm. We outmuscled orks in early game and assaulted their base at T1. However, I learned how painful those guns are on their buildings. We retreated and our loses eventually led to a loss in T2 as we had no efficient way to defend a point. The unfortunate thing was that map we got was essentially one narrow crossing with a point and the rest were points near your spawn points. In other words, I played strategy which would had worked amazingly well on a decent map. However, one which we played allowed no maneuver and had no point in pushing enemy back. It was just about one giant blob fight in the middle. Compared your playstyle to my own, I go far more heavily into producing more troops and early general. Then I use these troops to expand all over the map and pick fights with the enemy. I do follow up with my workers, but they take lower priority and I build less, are slower on point upgrades and are a lot more tight with resources in my early game. Practically, I'm always out of resources on T1. The point of this strategy is to capture more points than your enemy early on which would ensure that you can take less efficient fights or just have more stuff. In a same manner, if a player like you spends his resources on reinforcing buildings and building turrets in one spot, I will always have more stuff to overwhelm you in different areas of a map which will result in overall map control advantage which will translate to economical advantage. Another aspect of IG is that they are just very good as an aggressive faction. They can outshoot a lot of enemies and with greater numbers, I can play maneuver gameplay where I will just avoid fights which are not in my advantage and will make fights to my advantage by forcing you to split your more expensive and less numerous units through the map while I could hit you with just little more stuff than you can at a random point or area. Funnily enough, I adapted this playstyle to Battlefleet Gothic 2 when playing with Chaos. Since I felt weaker than other races, I decided to NEVER engage enemy player. I would split my units one by one and would go for capture points. They will eventually chase me. I would flee from any incoming enemy force which is stronger than me and would converge on isolated enemy ships. Window of opportunity sometimes would be very small, but I would systematically target enemy engines and when rest of enemy ships come into battle, I would just speed away after chipping away at enemy ships and taking less damage in return. Since my ships were generalists with focus on mobility, it was the only right way to play. Though, a lot of my opponents cursed me and ragequitted.

Speaking of Turrets, investing in building monoliths as Necrons lets you turn map chokepoints into deathtraps while enabling their main anti-infantry, anti-vehicle, and melee to teleport to them to make it even more treacherous to attack or to retreat if needed. And for each attack, Resurrection Orb the previous failed assault.

You mean obelisks? Monoliths are their HQs, obelisks are their listening posts. And you have to build the obelisks in order to increase your squad cap and increase the rate you build and produce units. There is no race that you don't build your listening posts right away on

interesting. I noticed you didn't really use fleet of foot. Also I noticed that you went to tier 3 asap. No fire prisms either. 1 question, does invisibility cost power? I normally have everything stealth build a 2nd base so I can build more power. I have trouble against sisters and tau. I noticed they didn't have vehicles at all as I run into problems when sisters get out tanks

The research is 100 req 100 power, but to activate the invis no, it doesnt cost power. Sisters and Tau are super good late game with faith and the first and second upgrade to fire warriors and the xv88 spam. Its hard to give advice that is good in every situation because each situation calls for something different, The main thing I see new people do is they let their squads that do zero damage in melee, get into melee combat, If your dark reapers or warp spiders are in melee combat make them run away until they arent in melee anymore, Even if its a 1v1 warp spider verses melee squad fight. It is better to kite the enemy until you reinforce then lose any troops as you try and stall

You know that Ariel Highlands map in the campaign? I considered it near impossible to win, until yesterday I built 4 squads of Banshees and Wraithlords asap. The problem to me is the 1v2 thing. Kinda annoying. For some reason one AI didn't attack, so I just advanced Southwest and killed one.

You know I didn't see this until now when I checked back here to update that I started the campaign with Eldar and giving someone who wanted a link for it. To your question, yes I know it, honestly some territories as each race struggle to defeat specific locations. Especially if the defense of the territory is really high. When it hits 5 it is suppose to have 2 differant AI defending it for a 2v1. Sometimes the best thing you can do is either rush and kill one off quickly, or play very very defensively until you have enough resources saved up, and a big enough army to try and slowly push through and kill their base. Sometimes if I am REALLY struggling, I will rush and focus their builders and try and kill their HQ in a suicide attempt. If they have celestials then you should prob have your soul shrine, Banshees cry is pretty good at AoE morale breaking, warp spider kiting is another good strat, Nuke a squad or two, teleport back for a sec to regroup and wait for them to push. The moment you can get fire prisms they handle annoying squads like that

Warp Spiders are the second best ranged infantry in the game after Kasrkins. Eldar shouldn't be allowed to have 3 Warp Spider squads.

Well, If they didn't need to research their stealth skill I might consider using them but the problem is they just don't do any damage. Yeah they break morale but I rather just kill someone quickly then have rangers slowly break the morale of one squad at a time. And in a bigger fight I am micromanaging to much to bother having the rangers switch to targets that don't have their morale broken. I typically only use a handful of units from each race because they are the best for all around situations then I tend to run into. I made a lets play of me beating the campaigne in soulstorm as space marines on hardmode a couple years ago. The quality is kind of bad but I was thinking of doing another one with another race with better quality. What race would you like to see me do the most?

Makes sense about the rangers. I've watched the Space Marines campaign. I tend to choose the good guys, even tho we know there's no actual good guy there, but hey, I'd go for Imperial Guard. Or Tau. Or your favorite, of course.

No race is weak, just depends how you play them and how you use their strengths to your advantage.

I have the most fun with them. Plus they can do some crazy things if you know what to do. Being able to teleport your buildings,Builders, and most powerful anti infantry unit anywhere you want is very strong

Google how to zoom out further in dawn of war soulstorm. You find a mod on like the first link that is super easy to install and it lets you zoom out really far. Doesn't stop you from playing multiplayer with those that don't have it either

Yep! lol. I hate guardians to but you need warlocks early when you're fighting certain races. It's why I like turret defense so much.
