@@Sol0666 so correct me if i'm wrong, you can focus on doing whatever type of map you want and just go a higher tier to get the atlas points (with limitations to your own pathing), and you get all the standard atlas points, without being forced to do the majority of the maps, including unique maps and some other side bosses and its worse?

@@strovf well first of you basically cannot spec into any mechanic until you have reached high tier maps. That means there are no real farming strats for lower map tiers except reaching higher map tiers. In poe1 you could easily spec into expedition, essences, strongboxes or shrines for some nice money while filling out the atlas. Second this basically requires the player to spend money to get atlas points. Stuff like breachstones are 1 div so even if you are farming them on your own that is stuff you could have sold to make your character stronger. Third its much more unintuitive I feel. In poe1 each completed map gives you 1 point. A video like this is basically required to unlock the points which is already not too good. There are a bunch of other things I dont really like but that is more regarding the atlas itself.

They really need a huge improvements to this system, and end game mapping, like having zero impact on mechanics until you do tier 15+ and even so only after certain conditions is kinda meme, there is stuff to do on early and late game mapping but mid game is kinda empty. As ziz said we are at the "worst" point of the game currently, it doesn't mean its bad, but it will only gets better from this point. Also for the future empy, you should say how to get those "tickets" for bosses exactly, since people will ask for that too.

It’s doesn’t require a video. 20 of your passive points can be split in half. When you go to apply a passive, you can instead apply two weapon set passives. You have to have free points to do this. Each half becomes active depending on which weapon set you have equipped. With one weapon you might want different stats for different abilities-because you can choose which weapon set casts which ability. It’s quite simple.

I feel like "mapping" is still acceptable, the "keys" are waystones, but the locations on the atlas/world map are still called maps. So layout, boss, monster types, biome rewards etc come from maps Area level and modifiers come from waystones. Anyway still gonna keep calling it mapping.

It is literally the same as POE 1. Instead of waiting for particular maps to drop, you are waiting for particular waystones to drop.

It's infinitely easier to spec into mechanics you like in poe1 with the singular Atlas tree. In poe2 you have to do an insane amount of grinding to begin speccing into a mechanic and the mechanics are pretty dog shit without any points on their trees. ​@@circaen

@circaen nothing like poe 1 Poe1 you get a point every map completion when you reach t16 you already have 100+ points and can invest in any mechanic you like not start earning points in t15 after you defeat a specific boss.

The main problem for me is there are no "quest bosses". All bosses you encounter(except expedition) you can sell and get more on average than if you do low-difficulty ones yourself

GGG made the whole endgame in six months. If they can get it as good as it is (worse than PoE1 yes but better than most other ARPGs) that fast I highly doubt it will take them all that long.

Is a bug with the atlas boss points if you progress in wrong order. After expecting to get my 7th and 8th point from a level 82 area it didn't drop. Therefore went back and re-did a 79, 80, 81 and 82 and still nothing dropped

I've done like 5 expeditions so far and got 2 logbooks from 1 of them. Might be lucky, but setup helps. Remnants work for the rest of the sequence after being detonated, so you blow remnants with logbook quantity and then blow up big flags, which I believe are runic monsters

Not bricked since you can repeat the mechanics again and look for the fragments to retry the fight. And you also lose EXP because you died :D

@@danousekgaming9195 i dont like it let me give an example of my last 5 maps: map 1 no juice just tryint to get to a tower map 2 no juice again clearing a tower map 3 no juice again getting to a map that has juice from the tower (that map was also a hideout and i didnt see that so i wasted a t15 for nothing) map 4 FIRST map with juice, 30 sec into the map i do a breach i clear alot of mobs alot of loot drops (but i decided to loot after the beach) i get swamed with mobs since im forced to play with es and i just couldent regen my es at the end because there was just stuff hitting me all the time completly disableing my recharge) i died, lost all the loot lost another t15 map map 5 no juice map 6 no juice map 7 some juice map 8 no juice why am i even playing this ? map 9 no juice logoff. that was my day of playing today all the rares were worthless all the uniques were worthless and i picked up a few ex .. idk man i wanna like poe2 but i really dont.

How are you sustaining t15s? I know boss maps /irr/corr and suffixes for more drop chance but even with the tier increase points I can't sustain them and I only run them on modified maps, towers and blank maps i do 12/13s save me 14s for reforge if they roll bad or save them for the boss/irr/corr maps.

run t15 rare only and get atlas points into raising their affixes/suffixes. also tablets that increase waystone drop%. if you are running 300+% chance of waystones dropping, youre pretty much dropping one or more each map

Also try to run your juicy t15s on boss maps, bosses tend to drop 4+ waystones in my experience. Also with the latest patch there was a bug fix where if you had the "chance to drop a tier higher" nodes, they would cause waystones to not drop if they tried to uptier the waystone to above t15. You were probably running into this before, its a lot easier now.

What do you guys do with t15 waystones that have ungodly difficult affixes? I'm scared to die lol. I can t15 fine but I'm not quite as juiced up as many of these streamers so I can't just faceroll through the maps without worry of death.

How do you get higher tier maps? I'm specced as much as I can into waystones but getting like T10+ waystones is just not happening. And do you think it is worth alching waystones before higher tiers given how rare alchemy orbs are?

Try to use your highest tier maps with the best waystone drop rate (like a rare one with 350% for example, but even just a magic 2 mod one which rolled high waystone chance is fine too) on a boss map instead of a normal map to get a good amount of higher tier maps, you can usually jump up a couple map tiers doing this, and is even better if its a corrupted map spot (+1 zone level) or irradiated by a tower (+1 zone level) / both. It's pretty hard to sustain map tiers outside of the boss maps at the moment which is certainly one of the main issues with the current mapping design.

T3 are only 7000 gold. You should be dropping lots of the low ones if you're transmute and auging them. I'm only in T3 also and I almost have half a stash tab of maps. It also helps to take the atlast points that increase the level of the waystones that drop

Could a map get to 83 with Corrupted Infusion atlas skill? So T16 + irradiated + corruption + Corrupted Infusion.

No, corrupted infusion only corrupts the map again, it isn't the same corrupted modifier zones have that give +1 level. Even worse, the T15-16 map you put in could corrupt into a downgraded tier because of that keystone. I've tested it a bit and so far my maps have been much better without it, I think its some sort of bait.
