Glad i could help out! lifted it with no problems. This has become my favorite tool in the garage. I've since purchased the truck adapters and would recommend them. Puts the truck even higher. I turn one sideways and lift my dirtbike also. Makes working on it much easier.

FYI, I see that it works but the geometry of the lift is designed to work safer with the label facing forward. That truck is heavy in front and you can see a potential tilt towards the front with nothing supporting the truck directly under the contact surface in the front.

Thank you for the information. I understand what you mean. I still use jack posts while underneath to this day.

Thanks for sharing. I’m considering this product or my Chevy 2500HD as well.

JR, great simple video ! What is the weight of the 2002 Duramax Silverado? May purchase these myself after seeing this.

Sorry for the late reply. I was just on the scales last week and weighed in at 7,148 lbs with no one in the truck. Hope this helps.

What's underneath the quickjack? Metal sheet?
@JR-19794 жыл бұрын
Yes, 2 sheets of 3/8 plate steel. I don't have much room in the garage so if it's nice out I work outside. The steel gives me a stable work surface.

Hi, which model is it?
@JR-19794 жыл бұрын
Guess I should have put that in the description. This is the QuickJack BL-7000EXT - 7,000-lb capacity. Seems to lift the truck with no problems. I've since purchased the truck extensions.

Do you like it? or wish for a midrise? thanks
@JR-19794 жыл бұрын
I didn't have the overhead in my garage for a mid rise unit so i had no choice but to go with this. I do like portability. Being able to put it in the back of a truck by myself and take it to another location is nice. My only dislike is that you cannot drive over the unit and always have to push it in from the side. The wear and tear on the bottom of the unit and on my back will soon add up. If you have a smooth garage floor this might not be an issue for you. Would i buy it again... The answer is YES .. Wishing i would have purchased this years ago.. Plenty of room underneath for the back yard mechanic and everything i need to do. Purchasing the truck extensions made a big difference in height. Hope that answered your questions.

?? Do you think it creates enough lift height to remove the trans using a trans jack ?

How is the stability?
@JR-19793 жыл бұрын
Impressively stable. You can push and pull on the vehicle and it doesn't move. I will tell you that i still find myself throwing a few jack stands under the Duramax when I'm spending a long time underneath. :) I like redundancy.
