Place a sheet of black foam core above your camera to stop the ceiling from bouncing light into your shot. Saved you 14 min

I just stumbled across channel and really enjoyed this video. You have a great presence in your video and do a great job explaining some of the intricate details of your thought process. Great tip! I use flags a lot, but haven’t been flagging my ceiling. I have a tall studio ceiling, but I do think I’ll get that extra pop with this extra flag. I liked that ya walked us through props too. I took your artificial academy course. I would definitely be interested in a course from you on shooting for cookbooks or other editorial work. Looking forward to your book in spring, congrats!

From my working with restaurants, I find the most safe lighting set up is to create very soft, very little shadow, high key type photo. Usually client is happy with that. But to my taste I am like you, like more shadow, moody feeling photo.

Hi Joanie, the black foam core hack is sucn an easy and effective method to give your photos a contrasty snap! I use Rosco E-Colour #216 White Diffusion for my studio photography. Do you have a favorite diffusion material for your photography? Keep up the good work. I've been enjoying your channel for quite some time now!

Your video is over-comnercialized. Not only do we have to endure unskippable ads just to watch your video, but you have to mention your sponsors at the start of the video and then again for each and every item you use in your shoot. It’s worse than hearing nails on chalkboard!
