How do you affix the power cord of the charger into this thing?

It goes into a hole in the base of the unit.

@@DIYRAY Duh. That wasn't my question. How do you place the power cord jack into the dock so that the vacuum will plug into the jack when you slide it in? Nevermind though, I found another video that shows this.
