I use a NIK 6 Silver Efex all time for B/W I am not sure i need to upgrade to NIK 7 (the only NIK Efex I'm using is Silver efex).

I just changed to v 7 when I found v 4 did not always work on my studio with somoma..I have loved this program over 15 years. Is there not a softness control for the control point?

Thanks for posting. I wonder if you are having the same issue as I do where when using regenerative AI, instead of removing an object it will replace it. What I mean, when trying to remove a car, AI will replace it with another car. Doesn't always happen, but when it does I can't get it to remove. Am I doing something wrong or is there a work around?

11:00 If you want to reduce the file size, use compression: Zip (~25%). It is lossless.

I just Purchased the Nik collection and I was wondering why I'm getting increased noise when using Silver efex7. Have you noticed that in any of your pics? What could be causing that? Thanks for the video..

It must be the grain emulation. You can turn it off.

I’m not seeing much here in v7 that I don’t have in v4. Probably file handling, choosing tiff or jpeg, and maybe control points. I’ve been in love with Silver Efex for more than a decade, but I’m not sure I need to dump another couple hundred (or whatever the price is) into a software upgrade that may or may not enhance my experience. I can’t be the one who feels this way, right? Or maybe I’m just the dense one. Cheers! (Oh, and thanks, Anthony, for your efforts here. I appreciate it.)

The biggest "flaw" for me is that it doesn't work on the DNG files from a Monochrom sensor. And the all point of using a Monochrom sensor is to work in black and white.
