Great review. One correction, you can purchase valves individually. It cost me 75% of the kit cost. Considering the cost of an WIFI hub, it makes sense and is fair.

great video, but my android phone doesn't see the rainmeter, I don't know the reason, I can to add the hub, with problems as well, but finally its added , but the rainpoint no, please you help.

Do you still like your rainpoint controller, a year later? I’ve read reviews the threads are soft and can break off from the hose, wasting a lot of water - i want to avoid this!

My initial installation was directly from the water outlet, at 45 degree angle. I immediately saw it was putting strain on the coupling. So, I have added a 45 degree extension and doing so it put the control unit vertical reducing the stress on the inlet and outlet. Looking at number of thread used (4), their size and material, the device should be able to withstand years of usage. The unit is not build to endure heavy shocks such an high velocity bicycle impact. Then the only thing to worry remains the cross thread. We just need to be careful.

Can you connect a couple of the valves to one Wi-Fi plug or do you have to buy a separate plug for each valve? Thank you

You can connect up to four timers to one hub.

One WIFI socket, as Rainpoint calls, can manage 4 valves independently. If more valves are needed, supplementary valve + WIFI has to be purchased.

I haven't heard any water hammer with this device.

I believe if you put a back flow preventer on before this device that will stop. I used to have that problem and it quit when I added that. You can typically pick those up at Home Depot.

Yes. You setup your watering plan and once activated it will work autonomously. You can also command manual watering for the duration of your choice.
