I’m looking at getting a set of these, it does bug me though that they haven’t included magseal with them. I would have thought any of the £400+ reels would come with magseal as standard !

If you want a good cheap carp reel better than a shimano xtd ultegra and the emblem and far cheaper the okuma trio rex all aluminium body and router for 100 dollars

Are the 45 size reel to big for 9 or 10ft rods,don’t really fish long long distances mostly medium to short

I have just bought 3 of these, I agree, they are absolutely stunning reels, unbelievably light and smoother than a babies bum!! Awesome!!!! However, I do have a couple of gripes, and neither you or Diawa mention that these reels have a manual bail arm.If you do not know what that means, it means, after you have casted, you have to flip the bail arm back yourself.Turning the handle, just makes an annoying click. It's not a massive issue, however, you think they would point this out. My other gripe, and this is egotistical... When you pay a lot of money for these reels, you are buying them because they are awesome, Basia's are hands down the best carp reels on the market....It doesnt say the BASIA name on them!!! I found that really annoying.I want to see that they are Basia, I want other's to see that, you pay enough for that privilege to own them that, you don't want people confusing them for £100 reels that look virtually the same!!... That sounds pathetic but, if you bought an Aston Martin and it came with no badges or wring on telling what it was, and people looked at it and thought it might be a Ford, you'd be fuming!!! Thats my point
