Just watched 10 seven minute videos and only learned that yes your wrist can get stiff. Your 1:45 video I’ve got a method. Love it. Great video!

Wow! Been looking to improve my technique, and this is probably the most helpful video I've found so far! And it's only 1 minute and 44 seconds long!?!? Amazing video thank you so much.

I love this. Coincidentally, I thought of a very similar idea about a week ago while struggling with the LH trills in the Praeludium section of Bach's Partita No. 1 (in B flat). Those LH trills between D-Eb-Db are really difficult to play cleanly with the 2-3-4 fingers on my LH (I'm RH'd). I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what I could do, mechanically, to play them correctly so I started looking at my hand & arm position & noticed my wrist was bent like you show in your video. So I started consciously trying to get my arm & wrist not only in a straight line, but also perpendicular to the keys. I actually had to shift a little on the bench to make it work, which isn't an ideal situation. It did help some though, and now I just need to practice it more. Are you familiar with that piece, and if so, do you have any additional suggestions about how to play those trills accurately? They're literally the only thing preventing me from playing that piece well. Thanks for posting this!

I would also recommend Chopin Etude N° 2 Op. 10, nice for beginners and very effective :P

Thanks, I will try it that way! But surprisingly, I never felt pain in my right hand, but my left hand hurst so much, like it's so tense but I am trying to move without tension, I don't know why it hurts so much 😔

Hmmm... it's a shame that I need to play this particular melody with 4 and 5 inside a semitone, and it's fast, and no weight balance can really help with getting the lever to help get the hammer down...

At least it's only a case of 3, 4 and 5! In my case, it was once 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 - and that was only one hand. And then there was the hand as well.

I don't agree with that . This technique closes the hand and makes it smaller . Moreover it involves a lot of movement : not very effective when you have to play very fast with all your fingers ... This is just , a shortcut to get quick results , and why not ! But this technique will not !!! help you in the future . May the groove be with us . Peace .
