i think that the reason the plorts seemed to evaporate was beacuse in the normal minigame they show that little particle thingy and then go to you and you collect them and im just guessing two people breaks that

You have to complete missions for Mochi Miles until you get a StarMail message from Mochi, enter the teleporter Mochi placed in a cave near your base, return to base and select "Sleep until morning" or wait until the next in-game day, then you have to buy the Gate Hack. A pop-up should appear to notify you when it's available.

whatever mod you're using to keep the gold and lucky slimes from despawning so you can farm them clearly just makes it so every slime is like that rather than just the ones you want and that's why you're having problems.

TIP:if you have 3 or 5 gold slime put it in a corral and put some 15-20 slime science material and if they jump they will produce some gold plort, you can use veggie or fruit but that will decay,you can use plorts too but the plort collector will get it so use slime science material(i prefer one kind of slime science material than all kind of stuff so put like 15-20 jellystone or something) and slime science material don't get sucked up or eaten and it will not despawn

Well when you're playing that piece whenever you don't collect the ports fast enough they yeah turn into a really bright light and then shoot up into the sky I think by bringing them into the normal game not in that mini game they're supposed to be in the mini game but you brought them into the normal game therefore breaking the port system
