What was the point of the ultrasonic bath and "dispergator" (detergent?), especially as you had to apply heat and much manual prying, anyway? You might as well have tried experimenting with the cryogenic route to separate the glass from the adhesive.

REWA Technology it took me a long while, I did a teardown, then I pushed out the back frame with the glass and what was left is mid frame. I kept heating it up to take glass off it was so hard

Amazing, as always! But that's still a lot of work. And given the amount of disassembly required, you might as well replace the midframe too? There is also a good chance that it will have dents and scratches from the fall or whatever broke the back glass, so I see no point in re-using it.

Hi, Ben Greenstein. No, firstly, the temperature of a hair dryer is lower than hot air gun. and is usually not adjustable. Secondly, the wind of hot air gun is much soft. which will not cause damage to the components on logic board.

Anthony Rookbane your analogy is severely flawed. The back housing is just a piece of metal and glass - easy and cheap to manufacture with today's practices. I bought an iPhone 6 Plus housing with matched imei for $20 the other day.

Quick solution, but we need a 13 minute video to tell you about it. One sheet of clear adhesive film and an opaque case is all you need.

The solution with dispergator and ultrasonic is more efficient and safer than the traditional heating solution. The actual disassembling time is just about 10 minutes.

Joshua Orange one of the KZbin channels used liquid nitrogen and that worked ok. It's a lot colder. As the glue is super hard it'll take some serious cold to shrink it.

This is maybe quick but not the best way how doing it because while you are using an ultrasonic machine you are not only melting back glass's glue, but also air speakers mesh's glue and after this repair there is no way to talk about splashproof or something
