Quick Tip: Basic Tasks - Arma 3 Eden Editor

In this quick tip I'm going through the basic motions of getting a simple task to work in your custom missions in the Arma 3 Eden editor.
Disclaimer: I'm not an expert in Eden Editor, nor am I very proficient in scripting. I present methods and workarounds learned through trial and error, and from reading the community forums. I don't claim that my methods are the best or most efficient to accomplish something in the editor, but most of the time they'll work. If you have tips and improvements to share, please do so in comments section.

I feel so dumb 🤣 I just spent the last 2 hours trying to understand how to change a task state…. And 6:44 was shown a small module that does it for me 😭 nice job man ppl like you hold this community up

Thank you, I started messing around with eden making my first mission and set down all my units and objects I wanted for the mission but couldn’t quite wrap my head around creating tasks. This has helped alot so thank you very much!

Thanks a ton. Great video and wish you had more on the editor. I figured out how to create tasks but I didn't like how they all showed up at once on my map and no assignment pop up occurred. Big help, thanks!

Man this is awesome! Yeah, it's not that complicated, but it's one of the major things I wanted to know regarding scenario edition :D Before knowing this, what I did was I used the AI waypoints to guide the player through missions, which uhh... could interfere with the AI under his command at times, and didn't look as cool and satisfying as seeing the yellow task icon turn green saying "task completed" n stuff. I mean it's still a simple alternative for lazy mission creators. lol

@သုတရသဟာသ မျက်၀န်း when you buy arma 3 on steam the editor will be in the game . So if you have the game and start it it will be on te right of your screen with the name eden editor 👍

Seemed like a good helpful video but the tasks still won’t pop up on screen for me, I made sure to copy what you did exactly and retried it several times
