Not at all. You can field strip it without removing the brace.

It does not, but removal of the brace or stock is part of the detailed field strip process. You want to remove brace/stock to make sure the detent isn’t crudded up.

Brace or stock is not necessary to remove I got mine never have to do it

It is not, but since you are taking the time to strip it down, it’s the perfect time to remove the stock for a complete and proper inspection or you can leave it on and wait until something goes wrong, then it’s too late.

@@southernfried769someone said that you should check the detente by removing stock/brace, can’t you inspect the detente with it? Seems kind of funny…
