That plug can thicken up screams really well, too! Set the pitch to -1 or -2 and formant to taste!

Brilliant Jordan, I have the Soundtoys bundle and love the effects, but haven't cracked the Little Altar Boy yet. I'm doing a singer/songwriter today, don't know if I can sneak this in the mix somewhere, Ha ha. Thanks for the tip.

isnt this the same as an octaver effect that all metal guitarists love ?
@rishabhbose293 жыл бұрын
The idea is the same but Octaver plugins/effects tend to sound a bit flubby and the tracking ain't that great on them. But this plugin is pretty tight and keeps the original sound intact but just kind changes the Pitch. The Formant effect is really smooth here.

Is this maybe how mashuggah got their insane heavy guitar tone on record? Still to this day have yet to hear such a buzz saw tone but yet deep and precise.. 8 strings do help of course.. ugh.. I loath 8 string guitars but its undeniable they use em well..

don't think they used much octavers, instead even the bass plays in the same octave as the guitars to make a huge wall of a unison sound tightly locked in with the kick

Guitar players do this all the time, but on their pedalboard
