Beautiful excursion though it s under the rain..! It appeared to have some beautiful old trees around the ancient city and the surrounding park looked amazing too…! Very Nice video!! Keep up with your interesting visits, I do like it 👍

@Tico MOLINARI - thanks and yeah the ruins were much larger than I thought they would be, although it makes sense considering that once upon a time Polonnaruwa was the capital of Sri Lanka! The parasite tree was really strange, never seen anything like it.....

@@WiththeSparrows i have been in Polonnaruwa old city in 2003, can’t remember all the sightseeings because it was very hot at noon time & I didn’t want to walk around too much! I remembered the beautiful park & especially the stones Buddha as i took photos in front of Buddha statues …

Even I'm srilankan i didn't know some facts about that palace..thank for hiring the guide
@WiththeSparrows2 жыл бұрын
@Sachintha Lakshan - that's good and yeah, even though I wasn't expecting to pay as much for the ticket and the guide, paying extra for the guide was a very good decision!

@Sithum sithumina - I did hear that Anuradhapura was amazing but unfortunately it was just too big of a detour considering the amount of time that I had. Hopefully next time! Are you from Anuradhapura?

Hi pleased to see that you are enjoying SL. Are you still in SL btw? if so head off to meemure village, knuckles too since you are a nature lover

@Sameera Rodrigo - Unfortunately I'm no longer in Sri Lanka, just takes some time to go through and edit all of the videos! Yeah I heard about the knuckles mountain range but didn't quite have enough time to explore them - seems like they are less visited than other places so a good tip for other tourists.
