how do I change the beginning balance to reconcile my account.. some who I am all messed up maybe I have duplicate transaction, I don't know

Question . So I deposited my checks to my account and I noticed I have open records under the app transactions and if I add them it will duplicate my income . How can clean my application feeds without duplicating my income on QBO. Go to application app feeds> look for record click add > go to bank register > edit record and it takes you to >bank deposit , I select the account where I want the funds to go to. And click save ( I believe this is right ) but now how do I delete the original deposit I made when I first received payment ??
