Yes, it is. But if you buy a gas insert, then then it comes with it, standard.

@@londonparispugs6369 Thanks for your response. After posting this question, I did find that in owners manuals, but I think mine may be on older module. It doesn't have a red button. The gas flow control knob also serves as the lighter. You push it in and slowly turn it until it clicks and lights, then you hold it in for 6 seconds before you let it extend and adjust the gas flow.

​@TheWartHawg where did you find that because the red button one doesn't work after 2 uses. The wire burns up and you need to remove everything just to get to the burner!

@@cplg2111usmc It came with the unit and I bought it second hand. I hope that the one I bought as a replacement lasts better than in your experience.
