Thanks dude I'm trying to get my second palm and I'm just trying to cram in as many easy simple ones to do to fill it up. This really helped
@EagleScoutMacGuzman3 жыл бұрын
Try the ones that you can do from School work like Scholarship, Reading, Music, Art, Chemistry, American Cultures, American Heritage, Indian Lore, Athletics, etc.
@scl13323 жыл бұрын
@@EagleScoutMacGuzman thanks I already got Chemistry and I’m working on wrapping up Art which will technically give me the needed amount of merit badges

When I did this badge back in the 80's, I setup some time with our local Police station and about 10 of us made half-day of it. We all did a bit of pre-work and I helped coordinate the presentation with our police officer. The benefit here was we learned from someone who is an expert in the field and we did it as a group. I was proud to have earned this badge and so were the other scouts that attended that day.

Thanks for the feedback. My Troop taught this at a meeting last month. The MBC used this video and referred to it several times during the lesson. Proud Eagle Scout Mac Guzman moment 😊

Since the MB class was so quick, I had to look up more information and film myself doing fingerprints. It was like earning the next level badge 😳

I like how you can complete the fingerprint requirements using an ink pad/paper or pencil lead/tape

I didn’t do the fingerprinting merit badge event at camp because I was going to do the mile swim (both were at the same time slot), I showed up for the mile swim 10 minutes late, no big deal, I get changed... but I show up at the gate for the pool the life guard tells me “sorry, the mile swim is only for swimmers (those who passed the swimmers test, but guess who didn’t make the cut..me!) so for the rest of the time I tried the swimmers test (around 15 minutes spent) but I failed, only making beginners, all of this was in front of the really athletic 11 year olds that could probably do a lap around a pool in 30 seconds, so you can imagine that I looked like some weakling to these superior aquatic gods before me, and I see some kids walk to their campsite with those fingerprinting papers, and I knew it was over, I head back to my site, but no one was there. Why? Because totin’ Chip classes were being held... on the other side of camp (20 min walk), most of my merit badge classes required me to walk the 20 min to and from the campsite, and at this point I was exhausted, so that’s how I could have gotten totin’ chip and fingerprinting, but alas, events failed to come in play
@baroquecrusader8035 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah and on the exact same day, the trading post ran out of knifes, and like 20 kids lost their totin chip that night
@EagleScoutMacGuzman5 жыл бұрын
Commander Crispy fingerprinting is really simple and could be finished in an hour. Ask your SM for a Merit Badge Counselor. I did the Firem’n & Totin for my troop in June.

No problem. We have a pool so my brother and I had lots of practice before completing the Swimming Merit badge. It was hard though. I see how it could be difficult for beginner swimmers. I have a video about it here on my other channel kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnXOlXqim9Z-fKs
