@@everythingispolitics25 Maybe because Rocha is a very good fighter bro. There's a reason Rocha was cautious with his approach in on Ellis, those "pitty pat" shots you're talking about actually hurt and they sting. Ellis would be the best opponent Boots could add to his resume, but I don't know if Boots can beat him, just like we don't know if Ellis can beat Ennis. Looks like the fights brewing following the pbc card though, so we'll hopefully see

@@everythingispolitics25 The highlights here don't do him justice, which is why they look like what they do. The full fights on dailymotion with dazn commentsry and it's more clear Rocha's pressure wasn't as effective as these highlights suggest. That wasn't to say though Rocha couldn't do anything, he definitely had his spots and he put up a great effort. Think Rashidi would do himself a huge favor mixing it up on the inside, he just has to start believing more in his chin like Ennis does. Everyone's gonna get hit, it's part of the sport, but mentality and chin are things that are underappreciated these days

Ellis never pushed this guy, never came forward, always on his back foot, stood one place waiting to be punched so he can counter, allowed this boy to push him around and dictate the pace, keeps getting hit to the body, always backing to the ropes and getting hit. Just cant control and dictate the pace of the fight, did not jab enough. Always waiting to counter. He could ve done better if he pushed this little boy ,jabbed more and go to his body. He needs to grow up and learn. His counter was good but thats not enough.

I don't know I can't say that I ever saw a referee tell two boxers you can't trash talk. To the point where you try to bring them in and stop them. Referee you are paid to make sure it's a clean match you are not paid to moderate. And the people pay to hear this kind of stuff whether it's the press conference or it's in the ring. It was definitely some favoritism for Rocha because he just beat up Blair cobbs. But rashidi is not Blair he was putting them paws all over him from round one. I just had to go back and hear the referee really try to stop rashidi from getting in his head that's part of boxing the mental game if you took the mental game out of sports all together it would be boring as hell

I don’t understand why black fighters keep allowing these Mexican pressure fighters with no skills, push them into the corner, so they can flurry with punches, since they can’t outbox them in center of ring. The center ring is the weak spot of most Mexican fighters, including Clenelo.

mainly to set traps and counter then slip out.. its a small ring, and mexican fighters are pressure fighters which takes alot of stamina to keep off.. He's a bum all flashy flurry's and nothing of substance. Good fighters don't allow themselves to be walked down. As for his jab again it flicking and quick but doesn't follow up. You can just flick with the jab because even when you land it if you don't follow up and back out and get drilled with a the opponent's back hand even if the back hand doesn't land it will get scored as affective aggression. This reminded me of Meldrick Taylor Vs Cesar Chavez except Taylor was landing 2s and 3s not 1s and 2s. Elliz won't go anywhere if he doesn't step into his punches those are the facts. This is pro boxing not amateurs.

@@archenemy6893 I’m saying was not willing to engage, this is a COMBAT sport, u gotta step up & “put in work”.. where’s all that work he does in sparring? Ellis just survived & wanted a lamé decision

I hear that and respect that viewpoint. Engaging is very risky, fighters that like to engage, ie toe too toe are either slightly psycho, or have zero footwork imo.

@@archenemy6893 stepping up & putting in work is not t'oe to toe'.. you have to put in work in order to win.. can't just jabbing & landing a punch once in a while is not Pro-Boxing, you must be talking about Exhibition

About half way thru this and the commentary so bias that I want to turn it off. Aint said nothing good about Rashidi. I shouldnt be able to tell and you shouldn't sound like you're rooting for a specific fighter. Smh.

I saw a close fight. Ellis was getting tagged up to the body and yes he blocked shots but those still.hurt. And ellis was landing the harder clean punches at times. A rematch should happen but ellis needs to beat villa first.

We’d see….Rocha is no cab driver. at this point, Rocha came in as the favorite and you can see he’s the Golden boy guy. They knew each other and you can see them respecting each other. Fight with Ennis gonna be more difficult than y’all think.
