@philyt ya i have seen that too and while it looks interesting it isn't what im going for, i want to see the effects of high potential, or custom electromagnets or even rare earth magnets on the tv so to get close enough to the gun requires the removal of the coil.

If you leave the coils on, and just disconnect them from the board, you can put your voltage through them and play with the beam that way. I've seen people put audio signals through them even.

@TelluriumLabs cool, good luck with your accelerator, how many electron volts is it? As for the second part i would build a LINAC myself because of the reasons you stated, but the closest thing i have to a vacuum pump is a vacuum cleaner.

Im facing the same problem with the vacuum pump and i did some research and found out that i might need a good vacuum pump or even a diffusion vacuum pump

Could you do a detailed step by step tutorial on this whole process? or write one out? or are there any useful websites that i can refer to? thanks! ~Subscriber

Sweet, I'm in. I've got 6 CRT tvs and I got a hankering to make an accelerator :D Also wanna say that with the way you're speaking it sounds like that's live... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE TELL ME THATS NOT LIVE!

You can check for one on my website. It isn't that hard but since I am all out of TV's I cannot make a video showing how. You can check out all my other videos about CRT TV's for a little more information.

I think it's rather a weird setting on the camear, like wrong white balance or something.
