Hi, great video 👍 and I don't want to disappoint anybody, but I need to tell our story about this car. We have our Wrangler Rubicon (2022) for about 26 months now. It’s my wife car. She is in love with this model and in Belgium you can only buy the hybrid model new. We live in Belgium, no rough terrain, just our street is muddy over 1 mile when it rains. So no off-road adventures done. It drives great, when it is not in the garage for repair. After 1.5 year (about 6.000miles) the aft RH brake caliper seized. (Again, never driven in very muddy conditions or rough terrain.) Around the same time, airco inoperative >> broken wire. Also, it rains inside on the driver and passenger side. Always wet under the floor mat when it is parked in the rain. Now after about 2 years (10.000 miles) the famous death wobble around 60 miles/hour (Again, never driven in very muddy conditions or rough terrain.) >> steering shock absorber replaced and checked alignment. (JEEP advice) And now since about 3 months the car shakes from left to right at stand still and makes a metal sound. It feels like it wants to shift gear, but doesn’t. It doesn’t shake the same every day, sometimes a bit less or more. In electric mode or engine running, park, rev, neutral or drive position, doesn’t matter. It seems to come from the gearbox. The car went to the dealer, and they changed the wire loop to the electric motor in the gearbox (recommended by JEEP) It didn’t fix it. The car stayed at the dealer for 4 weeks, awaiting a solution from JEEP. No result until now. We picked it up 2 days ago (they wanted their free rental cat back). No problem driving it but shacking Steven is still with us 😬 They await another solution from JEEP and are aiming for the gearbox (really?). So there will be a big chance that they need to replace the complete gearbox…to be continued… We are very disappointed as it is not a cheap car (around €70.000 here) and we already have issues as which make it look a 15-year-old car. (Again, never driven in very muddy conditions or rough terrain.) So far my advice is, look up (we didn’t) what issues u can expect on forums even if you buy a new one.
@QuickShifts11 күн бұрын
Wow! Thanks for sharing your situation! I hope they get it sorted out for you. I would look into having Jeep buy it back. Maybe you can use Lemon Law? Thanks for watching and commenting!

I’m on the fence between 2023 or 2024. I test drive the 2024 4Xe, and it super fun! Would you recommend 2023 or 2024? 2023 has huge discounts, fyi!
@QuickShifts4 ай бұрын
Personally I am all about the discount and would go 2023. The difference is only the screen and the airbag in the upper frame. The screen is nice to have but not necessary. The airbag blocks using a hand grip but adds safety, if you ever need it. It’s really up to you in the end. You will like them both! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Safety is always good so get the one with the airbags. These jeeps are not that safe so the airbags make it safer.

I'm a freshly minted Jeep owner of a '24 Wrangler Sahara 4xe (actually it's my wife's), but another (small) consideration is the power box that can be used to tap the batteries of the 24s to power things while camping or in a power outage, etc. Also, I just read an article today about how stellantis is halting Wrangler production due to low sales and an inventory backlog so those 24s may go start to get some incentives soon.
@MolishiousАй бұрын
My RAV4 Prime has the 42 miles of range you want with the same size battery and with it’s CVT it has close to twice the efficiency while providing 302 hp over all and about 50 more hp in EV mode. However, I wouldn’t take if off road, you can’t take the top off and nobody ever puts a rubber duck on it. More likely I’ll go out to the parking lot and confuse it with one of the other 3 white RAV4’s that are always there. Also I don’t think there are deals to be had. I did okay because I got the state and federal tax credit back in 2021. To get the range you want you’ll need a much larger battery in that jeep or technology needs to take a leap. Maybe when we get solid state batteries. I’m more about efficiency but I can see the fun in the Jeep.
@QuickShiftsАй бұрын
@@Molishious Thanks for watching and commenting. They are definitely vastly different vehicles. You’ll like have fare less issues in your RAV4. While I no longer own this 4Xe, I do know that it just got a battery recall on it. Real bummer that Jeep is having issues with these. They truly are a blast, but need about 20 more miles of range and I stand by that.

Yeah, low miles for sure. The day job shifted to allow me to work from home more and my miles dropped way down as a result. Not to mention I “share the love” and rotate amongst the fleet to drive them all. The Wagoneer has been getting the family trip miles, the Plaid is new and shiny so I’ve been favoring it, the 4Xe is our fun in the sun weekend car and it’s been rainy too.
