Man I just love Quicksilvers personality, no matter if it's an emergency or not, he still enjoys messing around with people for fun while knowing his priorities, like at 0:38 when he's about to save Moira, he just stands in a romantic dancing position while trying to kiss her for fun before saving her, later at 1:36, he just stands for a while reacting with disgust to the guy who's trying to kiss his girlfriend. Evan Peters was perfect for acting as Quicksilver.

Thanos beat the Runner, who was a speedster using the space stone to be the fastest being in the universe at the time, faster than quicksilver. That’s how he got the space stone. Granted in the comics Thanos is way more powerful, as are the infinity stones, than in the MCU but Quicksilver is also faster in the comics than the movies too. Speedsters are powerful but they have a limit

From his perspective it's as if time is nearly paused, everything is in super slow motion and he's ran in and out of the building like 15 times already, of course you'd take a snack break after running in an out of a building literally carrying like 50 people out of it. He moves at super speed but that also means he expends calories at super speed so he needs to take food breaks in between using his powers so rigorously... From his perspective that explosion took like a year to go off and after several hours from his perspective he decided to take a break to eat or dick around by moonwalking. The one weakness of a speedster is how fast they burn calories, the amount of food they'd need to eat while regularly using their powers because running in and out of the building like that probably equated to like 20-30 miles, you can bet your ass you'd be hungry/thirsty after running even half that distance...

I love this one but I think the first one they did for DOFP was better with the time in a bottle song. This one is arguably better from a technical standpoint. But just the way the time in a bottle sequence hit was just incredible. @@lamarpray5324 i think he's just so ridiculously fast that time seems to move slower for him. in the comics his mind and body can operate in picoseconds (a trillionth of a second. to put that in perspective, a picosecond is to one second as one second is to almost 32,000 years), so if he wants to he can sit and think about something for what feels like 32,000 years before even a second passes in real time. i think this movie version may be a bit slower than that, but he basically just can make his mind and body think/move so quickly that he perceives himself as still being normal speed, but everyone else being in ridiculously slow motion

Quicksilver’s speed in this scene is absolutely insane. Bearing in mind that even when the time is slowed down to the point that the explosion is barely moving he looks to be almost teleporting in and out of shot. I mean, obviously someone with this level of speed requires an 'always on' ability (like Magneto's force shield) to stop him from a direct attack - but even then all the speedster needs to do is start throwing things at him fast enough to break through. But even a slower speedster would be very hard to deal with. Fighting someone with even 10 times normal human speed - you'd better have strength and invulnerability on your side, otherwise you're gonna get punched out or tied up.

This is brilliant not just because he's fast, but because Quicksilver makes SMART decisions here. He starts from where the explosion happens and saves everyone closest to the danger first. Then, he realizes he can't just take everyone outside one at a time, so he sets up the safeguards for people's landings and sets them on the trajectory they need to be so that the explosion will get them the rest of the way. He literally uses the explosion to his advantage! AND, he has fun with it all. So amazing.

@@zapzap9610 the flash is WAAAAAAY faster. quicksilver has max speed, the flash doesnt. the flash is faster than light, quicksilver isnt. also the flash got other cool powers like speed-steal (he stole the speed of an entire race and everyone on earth to become faster than teleportation).

Its crazy to me that even after like 5 seasons, 2 team appearances, and and 1 solo film later, Flash doesnt have a scene anywhere near as cool as a 3 minute scene from Quicksilver in X-men. Quicksilver is for sure the coolest on screen speedster

Well there is one scene and the only one I can remember. In the DC Zack Snyder cut of justice league. Flash went through time to save everyone. I think that one definitely counts. Rest were garbage though

@@forever8879 I don't think that counts because it's not exactly a scene like this. Which actually surprises me due to Snyder's overuse of slow-mo and at the same time not due to the budget WB allowed him. In ZS' Justice league, Flash is seen just, walking and walking. The effects are nice and all and I love that scene don't get me wrong. But it's not as choreographed as this scene and the focus is way way different. In ZSJL the focus was on Flash's determination, power and how he finally made his own calling. His own future. Here, the focus is on Quicksilver's quirks, his speed and quick thinking.
