Imagine this tank fighting against tier 7's. The 210 mm of HESH penetration is more than enough. You will be killing 1-2 tanks with every single magazine.

Thought the same thing...in Denmark many old houses has horseshoes nailed above the doors. But they have to be with the opening up (sp the luck doesnt spill out according to superstition) :-)

The fun thing about the cobra is that despite being a big medium and having a 120mm gun it somehow has better after shot Camo then the Bc 25t AP which is both smaller and only uses a 100mm gun.... how can that be???

On larger maps, I would run optics, vert stabs, and aiming device or GLD. On smaller maps where optics aren’t necessary, I would run aiming device, GLD, and vert stabs. With a 50 second reload and low DPM, you really can’t afford to miss shots so improving gun handling is far more important than turbo.

I'd go with IRM over aiming device. This tank is for close quarters and isn't really meant to snipe. Decreasing the bloom after firing with IRM + Vstabs is more valuable than the miniscule improvement you get with an aiming device. VStab, IRM and Vents is what I'll be using on most maps.

I am struggling with the Caliban nevermind the Cobra. Caught a Cobra earlier on a reload with my Shrek. Just able to bang it out. Thing is you have all the toys and the crew. Not many will have that luxury so I don't think we will see many on the battlefield as it is going to be too much of a learning curve for many players, just the masochists.

Haha, yeah a couple tried that against me in my full health E-100, then in my full health maus, lol, yeah didn’t work out for them at all, got one Heat pen on me, the other was shooting HESH, at the side of my Maus, as I rotated to counter him…yeah, he did pretty much nothing, and then I shot/rammed them to death very quickly, haha. Don’t know why they both tried that solo…

I wasn't paying attention well when you went through the stats, but for a moment this was sounding like a tier 9 T57 Heavy. The damage per clip is close and faster with nearly as good pen, but the total reload is huge. Though I would say as a T57 I think I would still hate to fight against this tank especially if they have some distance near the end of a battle. If RNG favors the cobra it could clip any other tank from a reasonable distance. Not OP, but the right situations will work really well for it.

Full gold yeah is definitely the way to go with this tank. Heat has terrible shell velocity, hesh has good enough pen for a lot of tanks and better velocity for distance and clutch shots

yeah no full gold in this tank will be equivalent to going full retard in this tank. 210mm is not enough to pen equal, and especially higher tiered, heavy tanks frontally. And to fight heavily armored vehicles you will need the HEAT ammo. And in mid-to-close-quarters-combat shell velocity is irrelevant.

It's not a WTF100, main difference being the WTF had high pen (350-ish?), high damage (560), and high velocity (1200ms) all in one and the same round. The Cobra has to choose the right round for the right target.

@26:00 the Horseshoe is upside down. In order for a Horseshoe to catch the luck raining down. It needs to LOOK like a cup, and not like a spilled-out cup. It is an easy misconception of the Horseshoe. But the hang of the Horseshoe either catches the luck or dumps it out. I'm 65-Y/O. I learned this from a very old Farm-Girl maybe 80+Y/O, when I was 7-8 Y/O. I remember because I couldn't figure out how you can hang it on a nail like that... That's when she showed me the holes in all Horseshoes. "Ya need two small nails, but that's how ya hang a Horseshoe". She said. Then she added... "But keep an eye on it over the years, because one small nail will rust through first and the Horseshoe will start spilling out it's luck".

I had the same situation on the beach while I was in a Concept 1B against the Cobra. But he was hiding in the far back wasting all his time aiming and shooting gold rounds when I pushed over to kill his HT teammates. I realised he was on a reload and I just went in to charge him directly. lol it's not about the tank, but the player. so well-played in the games you displayed.

This tank IS completely overpowered in the same way the FV 183s are completely overpowered IMO. No, it won't have the highest avg damages or highest win rates most likely. But it simply shouldn't be possible to do 2000 DMG in 4.5 seconds. It simply shouldn't be possible to one shot a vehicle in the case of the 183s. The potential of the tank is too high when it IS working regardless of what the performances are like when it is NOT working. I think if any one aspect of a vehicle is overpowered, then there needs to be a reworking of that aspect regardless of what the other attributes are. Your analysis with the WT E100 is how I feel about vehicles like this and the 183 tds.

Well in 2/3 games I ran into them yesterday, they really didn’t like it, but they were playing dumb in those first two, they tried rushing me in my E-100, and Maus, lol, when I was full health they only managed to pen one shot, the rest were stopped/bounced or very little dmg from HESH, I tracked them, and rammed as they were closing trying to get behind me, yeah didn’t work out for them at all, the 3rd game went better for them, as they had a kran and 1B backing up them up against my E-100, they finally killed me after I bounced 6100 haha.

I don’t think you need turbo on it, cause you have a long reload, so being to fast on position is useless. The traverse speed is actually great and gun handling has to be upgraded before speed

Haven't played WoT in a long time. My experience with the Cobra is: always pen, always deal 560 dmg and aims in less than 0.1 secs.

Based on this review I just got the Cobra and I love it, I am an average player on a good day but I have been able to make it work. Especially love getting behind heavy tanks and killing them. Only things is every game is against tier 10s

The rate of burst damage is ridiculous, making “broken but not overpowered” the best description I’ve heard of it. Why was the intra-clip time buffed from 1.9s to 1.5s at the last minute?

Seems to be yet another tank WOT provides for the better players to abuse the rank and file. Working as intended I guess.
