The new Sofía®2 instrument incorporates many advantages over the previous version. Take endpoint readings at 3-5-8 and 10 minutes, reaching a negative result 15 minutes into the assay. This reading mode allows positive results to be obtained in just 3 minutes.
Quidel Sofia 2 has a color touch screen and a barcode reader integrated into the instrument. It also incorporates LIS connections, to the Internet and to the Quidel Virena® system.

Doesn’t appear to work with a label printer. We’ve tried with a Dymo 450 Turbo and the machine says it’s not detected.
