We LOVE this campground!!!!!! 1344 is also our favorite site and is VERY hard to reserve as it is always booked😮 We have a truck camper and have stayed in 1341 - we like the "privacy" of that one & it is closer to the lake if you can't get one of the nicer lake sites🤷♀️

Was just camping here Labor Day weekend. I booked my site on Thursday and there were several openings. I stayed at 1332. It was a very private site. No neighbors to right or in front/back. Lots of bushes between neighbor on left. Fit my screen house, tent, car and hammock just fine. Perfect private tent site. Also want to mention it’s a quiet zone - not just no generators, also no music/radios/chainsaws. Did you review the 1315-1320 loop? Maybe I missed it. Great little campground. I’m going back next year - I booked site 1344!!

That no generator rule really keeps people away. Good to know

Scotty, enjoyed your tour. My dad took mom and I to Starrett in 1954. You could camp for .25 a night, there were 3 camp sites, one outdoor potty, one pump, and 2 garbage cans. We used to lay on the tent floor at night and watch the bears in the cans. The corner store on hwy m and razorback road was owned by the Longs. Emma ran the store and her husband collected the money. He would stop by for coffee and give us the latest fishing info. I have great memories of Starrett. It was the best. Hate to see all the changes.

Thank You for this. It sounds perfect for quiet tent camping. Will be leaving soon. Sconny, what is the closest shower to this campground? I don't mind paying a day fee on top of my sticker. Thanks again!

Closed for the season but I can see why you’d recommend it over CL. Had a fantastic week at Starrett Lake. My new favorite campground. Thank You, again.

Wow, thanks for the tour!! I have camped a little bit so I definitely don’t know a lot. I am wondering about camping here in October or November. Meaning when it is not very crowded, hopefully!? Seems like you would be able to do come to the campground, drive around, pick out a site, and then register online for it? Or just register with the camp host? Is that a possibility?

Register right on site at the pay station

@@SconnyWandering that's how it used to be back in the day. They make it seem like the ONLY way to register is online. Thank you. PS LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!! WHat a great service you are doing for all of us!!

What is a loon warning about? This is the first time I’ve heard of that. Thanks :)
@jeannebiebel63224 ай бұрын
The loons are nesting and the warning means stay away from them.

Is there a walking path around the lake? (I saw a comment online that one was being created in 2022. Curious if there is now.)

It didn't appear to be, but I'm not sure

YIKES!! You totally missed the second loop of the west end of the campground - sites 1315 to 1325.
