Please learn the difference between racism and prejudice. Big differences Lord Jamar can never be a racist because he doesn't have the power to deny another race of people anything that is a necessity for everyday living, job education or political advancement, but he can be prejudice against a people he doesn't want to be around.

Kenny MacHuh no he doesn’t, he’s simply stating a fact Eminem is not the king of rap or a hip hop legend; he sold millions of copies does not equate him to being a legend. Can he rhyme? Yes but is he legend? no . Lord Jamar calling Eminem a guest of the house of hip hop. And I agree with him, what Eminem rhymes about I can’t relate to it and a lot of black people agree with what I am saying.

It’s still Lord Jamar’s opinion. Just because you don’t conform to what the majority may agee upon, doesn’t make you a hater or your opinion any less validated. It’s an opinion, not a fact. Eminem isn’t the GOAT, but niggas road his coat tail because usually when you don’t conform to white, your almost always assumed to be the problem.

@Incognito I hate to even entertain such idiotically dangerous rhetoric as "Black people can't be racist". You're telling me you truly believe it's not possible for a black person to hate someone based on their race? That race based hatred isn't (race)ism? Let me guess, you're going to parrot the same flawed argument that desperately redefines racism by conflating it with "institutional racism" then bring up "systems of power". What is truly the motive behind convincing someone that you can't be racist? Immunity from the excoriation of being a racist?

@honestlyspeaking905
@honestlyspeaking905 4 жыл бұрын
Yea but he doesnt realize that if a guess stays anywhere long enough they become a resident. I understand not wanting white people to take over the culture but hip hop n my opinion wad never about color or race its always been about great art and what different could a artist contribute to hip hip to help push the culture forward? Lets be honest EM has contributed more to hip hop then lord jamar has and only a handful would think different, if it wasnt for vlad (a white man) a lot of people wouldn't even know who lord jamar was and i think that bothers jamar, a white boy coming into hip hop getting more love then him selling more records then him and being recognize as one of the best and hes not.
@univeralafrikan
@univeralafrikan 4 жыл бұрын
@@honestlyspeaking905 With all due respect the idea that a guess who stays at a place long enough becomes a resident is a European logic which they apply to themseves when their the guest, conversely they are always ready to kick out a guest when he/she over stayed ones welcome. No your not a resident but we don't mind having you as an indefinite guest. All Jamar is saying is know your place and accept your roll as a guest, simple. The concept of white domination has seep so deep into the white subconscious they don't realize when its raring its ugly head. If one Black person would've advocated for Rock N Roll back in the day like Jamar does for Hip Hop; whites today and yesteryear wouldn't claim it like they do now. Europeans (whites) have a tendency for taking credit for other peoples inventions, innovations and ideas; claiming it as their own (this tactic is usually used against the powerless and disenfranchised of the society). Jamar and many Black people who know about whites doing this refuse to have us hoodwinked again. I implore you to do the history of Rocknroll, Jazz and Country music. Your statement about guest becoming residents ( to quote a white buddy of my) is horses**t. It reminds me of when European conquerors stoled foreign lands they refered to the occupied land as "settlements", yeah ok. Play your roll; appreciate and enjoy our art form. ✌🏾

@@univeralafrikan i definitely agree with your point about whites always taking whats ours but i also believe everything that deals with black and white aint connected to that logic nor has EM made any gesture that those were ever his intentions. It makes u or jamar no better then racist fools who tend to connect violance and danger to our race only bc of the color of our skin if u hate someone else only bc they dont share the same skin color as u. EM doesnt make music about traping in the hood, choppa slanging, drug selling EM doesnt make music lien about all the rims and cars he use to have in the hood b4 rap the man raps about white boy shit he just does it over hip hop beats thats the connection to us and them. If EM rapped about our culture acting like he was one of us or could understand our pain dressing and acting black then i would understand every word u just wrote along with jamars gripe but thats not whats going on here. Me saying if a guest stays to long then they become a resident is nothing but the truth hell if u have a guest at your house for a year he or she aint no longer asking to use the bathroom and you aint no longer asking if he or she is thirsty and if yall get into it and somebody calls the police u cant even kick the former guest out without going thru proper procedure first bc they've stayed so long already. The only problem jamar has with EM is he's white and thats sad bc thinking that way makes him no diffrent then racist and it makes him just as ignorant bc he should know first hand how it feels to be shitted on or not giving a chance bc of the color of his skin. EM can't help he's white

@@honestlyspeaking905 points taken. I will say this, in this world people of African descent have always shared, included and spread love to every race and ethnicity. However, these things are never reciprocated equally to Blacks. Naturally we as Blacks look upon people in general as the human family. From my studies and observations of our small planet the other groups don't share that sentiment. Whatevert we offer the world is always exploit. Its about time we wake from our utopian dreams of brotherhood and begin to love ourselves more by perserving our culture (specifically our music), economics, invention, ideas and innovations for ourselves. Again when we shared in the past we weren't credited and we were and continued to be exploited. Jamar and many others who feel like he does is not "anti" anyone nor can he or people of African descent in this west hemisphere be racist. He and others like myself are Pro-Black because we're sick and tire of being used, devalued and discarded like trash. I understand your heart when you gave your definition of hip hop being colorless and changing the lives of other. That's a cool out look but again we shared Rock-n-Roll and Jazz and I ask you, where are those genres now? Black folks think "we" (and its a beautiful thing but to our detriment) whlie others think "us"; because they understand the number one rule of survival, which is SELF PERSERVATION. We must protect what we ceate or else others will instinctively claim it as their own. What's white folks favorite saying when taking something from someone or group "it's not personal"; yeah right. Peace belove it was a pleasure exchanging with you though.

@@univeralafrikan i definitely agree you hit a lot of key points when looking at the world and our history as a whole i would be a fool to think otherwise i just think when it comes to EM jamar is pushing a false narrative when in fact jamar should be calling out the real devils behind the scenes and the real devil he sits down with every week and benefits from (vlad). How many of our brothers have gotten locked up and exposed after doing interviews with vlad? Not saying its exactly vlads fault bc our brothers have a choice to talk about certain things or not and when they choose to open their mouths then they have to be grown enough to take what comes with it but it doesn't help that vlad is providing a platform and asking the questions that help lock up and convict our people but jamar seems to have no prob with vlad (a white devil) bc jamar himself benefits from dealing with vlad (see the contradiction there?). I have yet to see anything negative EM has done to help destroy our people like vlad has the white boy raps about trailor park white boy problems and drug habits he's had lol. The anger jamar has for EM could be givin to our own artist who make deals with the real devil then put out music to destroy our youth for generations to come if he's really upset and thinking about the well being of our people. The energy waisted on EM could be put towards actual issues in our community if the actual reason is to save our people, a lot of our issues today have to deal with other things besides skin color altho skin color is definitely still a major factor. Its not like how it use to be when we were a proud people willing to die for change, scary ass niggas today only worry about themselves and they only worry about today they could careless about the future of our kids so again instead of focusing so much negative energy on a problem that has no merit jamar should focus on what really matters, EM aint the problem altho he shares the same skin color as "the devil". Lars Götz ... The Origins of a thing can’t be changed regardless of the various permutations it’s present form may exist within. Old heads like myself have detailed files that are passed on like Griots. There’s always a select few of each generation that respect the past foundations they stand on. That’s not a color, region or race issue... that’s an integrity and intelligence issue. Only ones deaf dumb and blind to knowledge of Self think the world exists when they arrived. I’ve enjoyed Marshall his entire career. Never felt him asleep to the legacy of his predecessors like many of his followers seem to be.

@Azzury Street Just because some Gay men participated in hip hop doesn't make it a norm for hip hop, it doesn't even make it prevalent. That whole LGBTetc. thing as well as sexual immorality, promiscuity, and drugs? All those things were originally of Disco in the 80s, not originally of Hip Hop. These vices that dominated the music industry then, and now, are and will forever be; If I may use the illustrious words of Run DMC, "The wackness."
