I was able to fix the sputter on my Accord here's how !

I finally had to do this after swapping to FK8 turbo. Worked like a charm! Also for some reason I can hear the beautiful turbo whistle more clearly now. Thanks for the video

From what I understand that solenoid tells the bypass valve to let off boost. From my experience when tuned it seems the extra boost meases with it. By doing this it's no longer being handled electronically. It's working strictly off of vacuum. Someone can chime in if I'm incorrect

this is something very similar that had to be done with Evo Xs once you start tuning. Cobb or AMS sells the solenoid which bipasses vacuum lines. I plan on tuning my accord so thank you so much for posting this.

I mean if you don't have the problem I wouldn't, but most likely it will happen. The best way to test if you do, go in sport mode the use the paddle shifters and leave it in 2nd gear floor it let it shift to 3rd and then let off shortly after. That seems to be the sweet spot where it will occur.

@@TR1_93 I used something a little smaller than what was there. Got it from the mechanic shop next door to my work just to test it out. I have to take some measurements on the proper size needed.

@@DanVilla7 so i ended up using 7/32 inner diameter caps to cap off 1rst and 3rd pipes and a 1\4 inch ID hose on middle pipe to intake manifold. If available the smaller 7/32 ID hose will be a snugger fit but the 1/4 inch ID hose works just fine with a clamp. The first pipe's hose goes to the inlet pipe which is why I capped it because it would have been open the the elements

It's probably something similar but not the same. This happens on tuned vehicles so I'm not too sure this would be of any help in your situation

Hey man I really hope you can reply to this I am really nervous and was wondering if you can give me some feedback. I just got a 2.0t accord with 50k miles on it at a dealer. Everything seems fine its just when I put it in sport mode but don't use the shifters and let it shift automatically, my car stutters at low rpm. When I'm driving slow though and when it shifts itself up around 2 to 3rd gear and 4th I believe it has like a jerky feeling and stutters feeling when slowing down. Even when I let the car slow itself down like not breaking. It happens at 0 to 30 mph 40 too sometimes. Again it's only in sport mode and when I let the gears shift itself

I'm not too sure what would cause that. If anything try unplugging your battery for a few min and then see if it still does it. Sounds like the transmission needs to be reset

@DanVilla7 I have no check engine light. It's just when in sport mode and I'm traveling less than 30 mph and when I slow down or break to slow down the car stutters and jerks. Idk if it's just picking weather what shift it wants to be in at 2nd or 3rd gear. Again it's only when I let the cat shift and downshift itself.also when unplugging the battery it can help reset the transmission itself? And do you think a transmission fluid change and oil change will help the gears shift more smoothly

No performance gain per say. But when the car sputters your coming in and out of boost so if you have a problem then yes. I'm having some misfire issues while acceleration between 2k to 3k rpm and 5k to 6k rpm now after tuning my 2.0, I replaced the spark plugs but it did not go away, this valve ,could this be the cause of it?

Probably not I would say if anything other than the plugs poor fuel quality

is this only because you have a tune? this seems like not so minor thing to do and honda should be making recalls if this was the case. what is the purpose of that solenoid?

In my situation yes, a few said have similar issue stock but for the most oart tuned cars. I didn't really know much about until the other day. All I know is that it helps tell the car to cut boost( maybe someone can chime with a better explanation)

It seems all 2.0 rear main seals could be faulty. At least on my 21 RDX 2.0 t 10 speed auto and my 21 TLX 2.0 t 10 speed turbo. Slight oil smell in vents with AC off and fan on with motor warm. And oil residue and or drips at fly wheel cover. Same with a 2021 2.4 ILX 8 speed dual clutch loaner, and my previous vehicle a 2019 ILX all rear main seal defect from factory. Its made of the wrong composition and or not fitting on crank shaft properly. Its possible its on the accords too. Unless its coincidence they all have same problem, i think not. Spread the word! These are facts.

I don't have an leaking or smells. And this did solve the problem. I don't get why a lot of the new acuras have so many problems when they share so many parts with other honda's especially the Accord

@@DanVilla7 the leak cld be small to start look at fly wheel cover, for residue and or small drips, maybe different factory than the acura or the hondas have different size rear main seals amd crank shafts than the heavier tlx? I dunno

Yes, the sputtering is gone. But almost my turbine as well. I have the rv6 catted down pipe. K&n full intake. And phearable 3. The car was feeling super restricted and after 2 pass in sport mode the turbine start making funny noises. Frankly even with no sputtering I was losing power. I won’t recommend this to anyone

More than likely you may have done it incorrectly or possibly there's something wrong with your car. This fix was directly recommended by John at Phearable. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't recommend something that would discredit his tune or himself
