Really liked the look of this mod and attempted to try it as well. Even started as Egypt with the idea of going for wonders. (I play on lower difficulty since it's been a while I actually played). I may have been a little less lucky. Morocco, Assyria, Songhai, and Shaka....

Consider, once you have a ship for protection, sending trade ships to Rome and Athens. This not only gives more loot, but also helps spread the glory and wisdom of hexapyramidism.

He does LP's, not reviews, and it's not like he can say anything at this point that would jeopardize his sweet early access to the game. Plus you can watch the vids he's done on 6 already and get the impression that he likes it (which makes sense since it looks amazing - Civ 5 is by far best in series and 6 looks to out do it)

you always want to have as little military units as you can get away with in Civ, if needed he can always buy some archers

I think he's using the Yet (not) Another Earth Maps pack mod.

It's a mod, but it is also compatible with Vanilla Civ5

I had a game where I was the only civ with cotton, and like tons of cotton, like 7 cotton on the whole map and it was all mine, so naturally I used all of that cotton to make all the moneys and then the first world congress happened. That dick head Montezuma wanted the first thing passed by the world congress is to ban cotton. I think it was because I wouldn't trade with him because was being annoying the whole game and kept trying to convert my cities and steal city locations. So he ends up getting cotton banned, all of a sudden my income tanks because my economy was pretty much trading cotton for gold per turn. Long story short I the Aztecs no longer were a thing and I was able to get cotton unbanned. I didn't win the game because my thrust for vengeance got in the way of the cultural victory I going for.
