What a relief to hear this being discussed. Please keep up the good work. The Australian public would not believe the levels of intimidation used on people in this country to snuff out free speech.

Excuse my ignorance, but does Australia have the same level of free speech protection as the US does with our first amendment?
@AndyJarman

If you believe the US constitution prevented the FBI setting up a unit inside Twitter to censor what Twitter was permitted to allow then no. The constitution in the US is under constant contravention by the State. Barrack Obama engaged in assassination by drone of American citizens in Yemen in 2012. Joe Biden refuses to prevent 350k foreigners a month to walk across the US border. A written constitution is a means of reassuring the population without actually curtailing the government's actions.

Australia does not have a 'Bill of Rights' embedded into our constitution. We have some legislative safeguards, which are by no means the protection we require.

Does 18c of the Desceimination Act cover the offence I feel towards Alan Pascoe who fraudulently claims Aboriginal descent?

Another interesting point is that certain values are automatically associated with this or that culture. For example, universal women's rights or pro-democracy protests or movements are seen by authoritarian governments as Western conspiracies. On the other hand, the global left would see them in a similar way, generally labelling them as a western thing for "white people". At the same time, Western governments wouldn't take these movements seriously because they believe that real democracy and civil rights movements can't emerge from non-Western cultures, especially those with Islamic governments. A clear recent example is the woman life freedom movement in Iran.

You cannot outlaw expressing a personal emotion, hatred is an emotion. To attempt to do so is arbitrary oppression and fundamentally unlawful.

I cannot find any reference to the mortician who misgendered the cadaver apart from a claim by the FSU. Surely we are entitled to know the name of the mortician and the location of the morgue.

The main issue with anything woke is when we as people gain something by crying wolf, that obviously make this person want to do it more. I warned people about this 10 years ago when it started to gain some traction that it is dangerous to give attention and so on to people who only want to feel sorry for themself. What should be done is promoting help for selfhelp which is the only right way forward. That means just ignore when people mess up, and reward when they do right. That's it. What society as a whole has helped these people with now is making them fight to remain a minority, and these people really want now to be a minority because they have been rewarded for doing nothing. That's why they kick, shout and scream and are extremeley narcissistic because they have been allowed to. They now feel they should be entitled to continue this path, and still don't understand they have moved an inch forward in their life because they are just being used as everybody else to divide us all. Just a final thing I need to point out: When we beg for sympathy when it is empathy we need, we won't get anything else. When it starts to dawn on these people they need empathy instead, they will be facing a huge dilemma because of making all of this a global political ideology. How will they now receive empathy... Begging for empathy if that's what you want and need doesn't work by the way, because it has to be genuine and out of open free will for it to be real and have an impact. All the sympathy they have gained is all just pretend sympathy by the way, so all in all it just is worthless. Nobody gain anything from it because either side doesn't give a shit about eachother, so it's all pretending like all the pride bs they are celebrating. When these people show joy, that is faker and faker the more they try to show it. Turn a woke person upside down and you get the truth of how they actually feel.

People have always been pretty free to say whatever they wanted, but if they wifully offended the wrong person they always risked getting punched in the head to learn there are obvious boundaries one doesn't cross without risking a justifiable response. So WTF is all this BS about 'free speech' about? Offensive people trying to be more offensive? Oh, the f*cking irony! LOL!
